Remin is going to see Talin going nuts over canvas and marble.  He will find at least a dozen more paintings and sculptures of Xio Voe in Talin's office and Talin almost being back to his normal self, which was what we all wanted.

Yay Talin! I'm so glad he's creating again. Hopefully his confidence in his vision when it comes to Xio Voe will continue to other things. And I loved this:

Needing answers, not wanting to rely only on his own memory, Talin found himself calling to Alanohi, silently and instinctively asking for help and inspiration.  It felt so familiar that he realized that he did this, that he turned to the gods frequently, whether he’d realized it or not.  It was instinctive, something that he did without thinking, an automatic check-in, as if he were turning to Anosanim to double-check his work.

            Catching himself doing it, Talin hesitated, pulling back, ashamed to be relying on Alanohi after such a stern rejection.  How dare he?  How could he be so bold?  But he sensed no resistance, and he needed the help; this was too important, he could never do it alone.

            He needed Alanohi.  And just like his parents, his brothers, Kudorin, Anosanim, as soon as he turned around, Alanohi was there.

I'm so glad he's leaning on Alanohi again. He'd been spiritually floundering, too, and for a child of the gods to do that, it's bad. But he's getting better and I think Remin will feel Alanohi with Talin when he gets to Talin's office. Next stop, Alanohi's temple? I hope so.

“Besides, whatever happened next, Remin already did it better.”

All this talk of Remin and Kudorin encouraging Remin to get back in touch with his sexuality is making me think that Matt is gearing us up for The Golden Book. He has to be because if I keep thinking of how legendary Remin has become, my head is going to explode on his behalf if he doesn't get to release some of the pressure with a flesh-and-blood person soon.

Kasu is my new favorite.  Him snarking with Desin was hysterical.  And poor Vade.  He just turns on for everyone.  I loved Rini being all bored by the story and "Remin would have done it better" complaining.  I think he's cranky, poor baby.

Talin doesn't trust his art and himself anymore but Xio Voe has such "stark honesty" that it's all there out in the open, no judgment calls needed that Talin can't help himself.  I like that.  I'm glad Talin is embracing his art again.

Ok, call me weird, but my fav part of this was at the end, when Remin is thinking about how he jerked off shortly before, or as Desin calls it, spanked the sausage............I about fell over laughing.  Desin is underappreciated, lol. He is so normal and such a total GUY. I know so many guys like him.

Glad to see Talin working again, and my heart melts whenever one of the brothers proves their love for another, so Remins thoughts on Talin were a total "awww".

As to Anosanim and Ritek, partly for me its just so flowery with Anosanim, lol. They are sweet but yeah, I kinda tune out a bit.

OK I have had some time to digest the chapter but not re-read it, which I will do now.  But my opinion may change once I get to re-read 4.

This whole thing with Hitari has changed our Fire twins, from when we met them while they were waiting to ascend.  I wonder if the gods knew that they both would have very demanding jobs right from the start, with Xoe Voe and Kudorin coming together and the world changing so dramatically.  The gods needed our twins honed into effective instruments of the gods and would be no lead time for them prepare.  They had to be strong right from the beginning and this may have been the only way to for it to happen.  It tore my heart out completely what Talin and Anosanim have had to deal with both personaly and professionally but I also think it was necessary.

I was so concerned that Talin may do "something" stupid when he refused to go to a temple to seek guidance with having been avoiding his connection to Alanohi.  I had to stop and swallow while he was riding and go "OMG Talin Noooooooo!"  Thankfully Xoe Voe's truth came through overwhelming   Making him begin the process of re-attaching himself to his god.  I could just see him racing back to the Royal House of Art, galloping recklessly, red hair streaming behind.  I paused to enjoy that vision.

Now, if you had asked me before I started ITL if I was attracted to flaming gay males I would had said No! quite firmly.  But I  Anosanim.  I really like Ritek because he is so good to Anosanim.  Though the depth of passion that we see with Kudorin and Xoe Voe isn't there, or the balance that we see with Orinakin and Bade.  I do not mind at all the sex scenes with Ritek and Anosanim.  Ritek gives Anosanim what he needs and what Anosanim desires.  I still don't know if this is a permanent pairing but I am happy with it the way it is right now.  Anosanim is getting what he needs now, emotionally, intellectually and physically from Ritek.  Maybe not all he deserves, cause I want him to have all the benefits of his relationship with Ritek, and also as passionate and connected love of his life as Bade & Orinakin have.  It still seems to perfect, him and Ritek and I worry that he will just continue to slide along and marry Ritek because it seems right not because it is right.

I loved every single moment with Xoe Voe and Kudorin.  I love how they are together, I love their love, I love what they talk about, everything from world domination to who covets Xoe Voe's ass, or dick.  I bask in it each time Mathew writes a scene with them in it.  I melted when they said this.

            “Would you prefer that I become more effusive?”

            “No.  No,” Anosukinom said, rolling near to smile at him.  “I love the ways you express yourself.  I just expect that our children will have to become bilingual, in more than one sense.”

This was Xio Voe.  His husband.  His partner.  His lover.  His future.  His present.  His life.  Father to their children.  King to his nation.  The man he’d spend the rest of his life with.  They were locking their lives together, intertwining their futures, meshing their fortunes.

“You are my heart and my breath.  I love you more with every second that I know you.  I didn’t want a follower, I wanted a partner.  Someone to love.  Someone to spoil.  Of all of the people in this world, you seem to need me the least.  But you want me the most.  And I, ah, ata, I was made for you, as surely as you were made for me.”  He sensed Xio Voe rising from sleep, responding to the sound of his voice, so he murmured, “Sleep, akine.  I love you.”

            With a brief, “Hhm,” noise, Xio Voe rolled over.  “I love you, you, jarouje,” he muttered, dropping back to sleep

Then we have the whole Desin, Kasu, Rini, Bade, Vade and Orinakin exchange and I still am laughing.   

Is there anyone out there just  of what Talin will do with the piece of marble he found?

            Painting wasn’t enough.  He turned from canvas to marble, needing to bring Xio Voe into three dimensions.  He climbed all over the statues, up and down, digging through the marble until he found what he was looking for.

   So Kudorin where is Remin?  To funny Xoe Voe.

I agree with CL we have to be seeing so much more of Remin as a sensual being.  We are being buttered up so that when Remin's HEA walks into his life we are sooooo ready for that story, and so will be Remin.  I love how Remin is taking on he job of facing Talin.  I think Talin needs spiritual advice and I think Remin is the perfect person for this.  I can't wait to see remin's reaction to all the paintings and sculptures.

Heh  I thought I was the only one who wasn't into the Anosanim/Ritek sex scenes.  Glad to know I'm not alone.  All of the cousins grew up in the palace with the Princes, so that may explain their familiarity with them.  I had to read that scene with my hand over my mouth so my Mom  wouldn't ask me what was so funny.  (I'm not supposed to be reading "porn" on her computer)

Also, I hope they ahve some privacy the frist time they touch. It will be a very special moment for them and I don't want it to happen in front of anyone who isn't family. Something tells me Remin will be there. Just a hunch.

And Bade's head explodes imagining what they were doing for two weeks.  And then he and Vade talk about it without talking.
