I am supposed to be coming up with ideas for fundraisers, activities, and dinners for the tenant's association in the high rise where I live.  Anybody got any ideas?  Please keep in mind that we have a limited budget.

We can think of some.

Hmm.

Activities like what?  Miniature golfing, charades night, movie clubs?  Trips to the local farmers' market?  Collecting toys and coats for kids in need?  Pot lucks?  Museum excursions?  Should I stop guessing until I get more information?

Activities meaning things we can do in the building or on our lawn simply to get people out of their apartments and socializing a little bit.  These are mostly older people.  My sister, my parents, and I are the youngest ones in the building.

A bakesale, a cake walk, karaoke, a quilting bee , bingo (you could call out apartment numbers).

Resident show and tell. If they are mostly older, they probably have some things that hold a lot of memories for them.

My suggestions sound so wholesome they may as well come with milk and cookies and a hayride. Smiley

Game night?

Mmm, bakesale.

I really like the idea of resident show and tell.  And I think Rhia totally got distracted by the mere thought of cakes, cookies, and pies.  :::snaps fingers in Rhia's face:::  FOCUS  They're aren't even made yet!

I would suggest a BBQ and a Karaoke night for fun and a Garage Sale for a fundraiser!

You know, providing a detailed list of the baked goods available so completely did not help.

...mmm, pies.  Drool

...and I just realize that I have the same response to pie as I do to Adam Pascal. Hmm.

Poker, with candy to bet with? Maybe a movie night, if you can find something that everyone agrees with? Yard sales are always good, especially when you have multiple people contributing. I've done service auctions before for fundraisers, but I'm not sure what your community is like or how well that would work.

I think a big ol' yard sale would work well.  We've got some fairly new tenants in the building who are still cleaning out their old residences and will be able to contribute signifigantly.  And yeah - Adam is totally delectable so its a completely understandable reaction to him.  Did you know that he's bi?
