We actually just adjusted the rankings again - - rainbow was a little too accessible, and it seems wrong to be able to reach it that easily - - but as a result, Falconer is no longer a red member. For which I am deeply sorry. I apologize for the unintentional demotion.

Greetings from admin land.   Okay, here's the deal. A few days back we changed the options on the board so that all posts in the off topic category don't add to your post count. I'm sorry that I didn't think to make an announcement about it. We came to this decision because the point of having the board at all is to discuss Mattfic. The member rankings should reflect who is contributing relevant on-topic posts to the various conversations on a regular basis.  We want people to make an effort to discuss the stories, first and foremost. That's also why we have been pruning some threads and moving some comments to the off-topic section. It's all in an effort to keep OTR comments about OTR, so that people who want to find out what other readers thought about Patrick and Jordan's relationship don't have to hunt and peck for related posts, wading through long conversations about someone's childhood ballet lessons or shoveling snow in Colorado. We understand that sometimes you just want to hang out and get to know each other and talk about common interests that might not revolve around Matthew (if you're into that sort of thing), so post to your heart's content in any of the off-topic threads. But it doesn't add to the post count because it doesn't make any sense to become a high-ranking member on a gay erotic fiction message board by making hundreds of posts about how cute your cat is when he's sleeping. So to sum up: 1) Contribute relevant thoughts, opinions, and comments in the appropriate threads to earn higher rankings. 2) Hang out and talk about sports cars to make friends.
