In what manner do you reread ITL? From the beginning, just your favorite parts, a little every week, etc? What kinds of things do you gain from a reread? Do you dislike anything about rereading? How many complete rereads have you made?

Every Friday afternoon or evening, I reread the previous week's update so it's fresh in my mind. Every couple weeks, I go through my brief chapter notes and read a chapter or two whose events catch my eye. I've started from the beginning and read straight through four times so far. I think I may start reread #5 soon.

I love reliving moments. Matthew is a brilliant, evocative writer and can stir in my heart the pain in Bade and Orinakin's impending separation, Vade's eagerness at picking going back to his room with belas for the first time, the joy Kudorin takes in his Xio Voe, Hitari's wrenching betrayal, Remin's torment at seeing Orinakin and Bade fucking on their couch. No matter how many times I read these parts and others, I still feel like it's the first time I've felt the emotions pulled from me by them. That's incredible.

Let's see I have re-read it through back to back 3 times.

And each time I go to look for a quote for the Who Said That game, I end up reading a chapter or two.  That is usually done by just randomly chosing a chapter.

I always read the previous chapter or two while waiting for Matthew to post the current chapter on Friday night.

And sometimes I look for a specific chapter for a special moment.  I like reading Orinakin and Bades special moments, if I am specifially going for an Awwwww... Or the chapters around Xoe Voe realizing he loves Kudorin.

I've tried to reread it several times, then I get distracted by a new chapter and end up forgetting about a reread lol.  And you all know that when I start reading, I open up PSP and start bannering, or iconing, or wallpapering, which never really bodes well for anyone who's sick and tired of seeing the same thing over and over again.

I've gotten to Bade and Orinakin declaring their love for each othe.  They're not engaged yet and... I really should be re-reading everything again.  I will soon.  Probably over Easter Smiley.

History wasn’t a series of individual events, but a rich story where each plot affected the others.

I'm only on my first reread...and yes I started from the begining. I also tend to read chapters while searching for quotes.
