He cant fire any of the bela's it would be prepostorous!! I think Selorin is a bit jealous that Vade has been writing to Rini and not him. I also think that the blue book is next and that my wish is going to come true with Selorin and Vade. Im just guessing with the way that things are turning out. Ihope hope hope that it is and they do xx

NO BELAS SHALL BE DISMISSED. And if Xio Voe does manage it, he will make enemies of the entire Anorian royal family, even the one who can't have sex outside of wedlock. I feel bad for the belas feeling like their days are numbered. Pointless worry. POINTLESS. *hugs all the belas* And this: “I’m sorry,” he told his audience, “please excuse me. The Nosupolin royal family has arrived, and I must meet them at the air field.”
“King Mindo and Queen Wirra?” someone asked with sudden interest.
“Yes, and their sons,” Selorin said, wondering why he cared.
“Your Highness, you must forgive me, but I’m a great scholar of Nosupolin history and culture. I wonder if you’d be so kind as to allow me to ride with you. I’d love to meet the royal family in person.”
A great scholar of Nosupolin history and culture? Was there such a thing? Amused, Selorin said, “Yes, please, join me. I’m sure that they’ll be pleased to meet you.” How much do you want to bet that this is Xaile, the guy Vade slept with in Jacacea then had a free for all with his brothers and friend? Can you imagine how Vade is going to feel greeting Xaile in front of his parents? Poor Vade.

You know, you may be right, Selorin may be jealous. He was saying he'd never had sex with a Jacacea and Vade has had five Jacaceans at once. Hmmm. And yeah, you just know Selorin is going to extract the particulars from Vade as soon as they are alone. LOL

I don't think it will be the Blue Book. I don't even want it to be the Blue Book. It's all about Remin, baby! Plus Vade still has a lot to do in Nosupolis and I don't think Selorin has had his fill of monthly indulgences. Remin needs to get married more than the rest of them combined.

Two interesting things in this chapter (ok, more but I'm Vade obsessed) One, Selorin is def not liking that Vade writes Rini so much, nor that he sent a pressie for Remin. You could tell it bugged him. Then, on the other hand, Selorin seemed to be reluctant to go and greet Vades family which seemed odd to me. Out of character, so to speak.
CL, yes, it would be hilarious if it was Xaile! I didnt even peg that one.
Does anyone else wonder, given Xio Voes devious mind, if firing the Belas is a kind of ruse to get something else he wants? Like, I could do this, but instead I'll do this............I really cant imagine he's serious, if only becaus Kudorin had so little reaction to the idea. Hmm........

NOOOO! Not the Belas, not the belas! If Xio Voe is trying to alianate the queen and the brothers, he's off to a good start. I won't be resting well till I know the belas are safe. And I didn't think of Xaile....if it is him that will be very interesting out at the landing field.

I agree, Remin does need to get married soon but he is a lot calmer than he was now that he is following Kudorins orders I would love to see the blue book next but i suppose seeing Remin get it on with someone would be fun too Haha i bet we're both wrong and Matthew totally surprises us with the red or green book lol xx

Blue book or gold book - either way, I shall be happy!!!!! I can't wait to see Selorin and Vade back together!!!
He is NOT firing any belas, I tell you! He won't, he won't, HE WON'T!!! *gets on the floor and has a tantrum* Xio Voe WON'T, Xio Voe WON'T, Xio Voe WON'T!!!!!!!
Erm, no my name isn't Kreacher.
With that said, ha, I hadn't even thought that it woould be Xaile. It will be interesting, to say the least, if it happens to be him.
I noticed that Selorin seemed a little jealous as well. *parties*

I like the idea that Xoe Voe may suggest one thing to accomplish another BUT I think he is too straight forward to do that. I don't quite think he understands the differences between need, want and absolute necessity, nor of the role of Bela's in the Seven Sibling dynasty. I am sure that no Bela's will be fired. I AM POSITIVE NO BELA"S WILL BE FIRED *chants the mantra* Maybe Xoe Voe will suggest some other tasks that the Bela's can do in their spare time, when they are not engaged being Bela's. Like knitting blankets for newborns or peeling potatoes. You know how big he is on efficiency. CL, Xaile was the first thing that came to my mind also in the last little bit. Jealousy works well as a motivator. But I think that Selorin and Vade will stumble along for a while. The big misunderstanding, the fight, the revelation, the we are a "we" sex. I keep looking for any indication of a character being Remin's potential spouse. I guess when we start to see the story from anothers point of view we may know we have met a spouse. Loved the speculation between the siblings and Anikira about having sex with a Jacacean. or a Nousopoin woman.

“And if I tell you that those women are some of her best friends?” Anosukinom asked.
“I’m firing them, not forbidding them to befriend anyone.”
“All right,” Anosukinom said. “Take it up with her as you like.”
This was a trap. “You’re not going to argue with me? Tell me a pointed story?”
“It’s your job to run the palace, not mine,” Anosukinom said. Yep Xio Voe is about to learn a thing or two about coming between a woman and her belas. Would love to be in on that conference with Anikira, Remin & Rini. And aren't there laws about firing belas, what they would have had to do to earn the shame of being fired? To have been fired from the palace belems, would that destroy their reputations & careers? I can't believe that Kudorin would allow anything to happen to them that would be harmful to them.

The more I think about it, the more I agree with Rebel: Kudorin's nonreaction to Xio Voe's suggestion to pare down the number of belas is pretty telling. And I, too, really want to see Xio Voe suggest to Anikira that she can do without a full belam.
This also may be one of the things about which Xio Voe will "see the light" after the wedding. Once he has full access to a belam, he may see things differently.

Specifically because we're talking about the female belam, I'm pretty certain than XV wouldn't want to have sex with them. Then again, he may, who knows, but still.
In ether case, XV isn't king yet, it's not yet his decision to get rid of belas. And he could certainly be looking in toehr areas of the palace if he really wants to save money.
Speaking of which... they don't *need* to save money, it's Orina Anoris. It's Kudorin, he's a GOD. I'm not saying he'd make money appear out of nowhere, except that he makes everything else appear out of nowhere so...
I rest my case.

Ahhh right the female belam. But that would hardly be fair. Anikira is pretty much the only one who uses that belam so to fire 'her' bela's because it wouldnt affect himself or Kudorin would be going a bit far i think.
I agree on the subject of Kudorin's silence. I think he would have made an effort or at least said something if he actually thought Xio Voe would fire the belas or that it was going to cause a problem. I think maybe someone will come up with a different solution to saving money or Xio Voe will change his mind (i hope) xxx
