Oh, wow! They have met. I love the way that Remin now feels more relaxed around other men, but I think that there're going to be some interesting situations. Somehow I think Remin's going to be angry though.

MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATHEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW...
You did not end it like that! You... I...!!!
I couldn't stop giggling. A few squeals were also heard in the apartment when they met.
The gods are in disagreement. That seems interesting to me, especially the fact that Remin overheard them.
Is it Friday yet?

Did anyone else need to bitchslap Demena in the beginning? I'm wondering who will be the one to tell her to shut her mouth. It might be Tano, it might be Remin. For pure entertainment value, I want it to be Xio Voe. No one does a verbal smack down like Xio Voe. I loved Remin and Tano's first conversation. I love how the gods kept Remin in his office until he would run into--literally!--Tano in the hall. I love that meeting Tano was the catalyst to Remin feeling able to relax more. I think this will make him a better priest in the same way Bade helped Orinakin in various ways. Their first meeting was so wonderful for both of them. They recognized each other in a very, as Remin put it, non-threatening way. THey're going to be so good for each other. This was my favorite part: As it turned out, Naritano was a pleasant, engaging conversationalist. He was unguarded, frank, funny, and optimistic. He seemed intelligent, quick to pick up on things, if not superbly educated. He was the kind of person who enjoyed making others laugh, but wouldn’t think of cruelly cracking a joke at another’s expense. His smiles were friendly, unselfconscious, as if it came naturally to him to share his happiness with the world.
And he loved food. If Remin knew nothing else about him, Remin knew that Naritano Pitok loved food. He embraced it, he reveled in it, he related to the world through it. But it wasn’t primarily the consumption of it. It was the understanding of it, the crafting of it, creating it and sharing it and giving it.
He was a very handsome young man. Ordinarily, Remin tried not to notice that kind of thing, put up barriers and walls and blinders, pretended to be unaware. But Naritano had the kind of calm, classic handsomeness that even Remin couldn’t pretend not to see. The kind of easy, matter-of-fact beauty that slipped past all of Remin’s defenses.
Noticing how handsome he was should’ve been an alert, a warning, should’ve sent Remin running hastily in the opposite direction. Young men were a threat. Young men who partnered with men were a threat. Young, good-looking men were a threat. Naritano was young and male and fun and smart and undeniably handsome and excited about food. He was probably the largest threat Remin had ever faced.
But there was nothing threatening about him. That was what was so strange. Remin didn’t feel compelled to escape. Didn’t feel the usual panic and need to retreat. Naritano was a nice guy, easy to listen to, pleasant to look at.
Remin had no idea what that meant, or how it was possible. Had something changed in him? Was there something unique about Naritano? Why, yes. Yes, there is. And this: Natural. Wasn’t it natural to be attracted to a young, handsome, soft-lipped, smart, funny, sexy, compassionate, respectful, male Anorian citizen who loved to cook and would look really about perfect tied to Remin’s bed? Squee! I wonder when they'll get to that. I can't believe all the Sibs but Remin know that he and Naritano are destined for each other! Talk about potential for interference. But OMG, this is gonna be fun. I'm sure Orinakin and Bade will be told within minutes of returning to the country. (I can't wait for Tano to make something Nosupolin for Bade) And was Xio Voe really hanging out in bed with the Sibs? That's awesome!

I am not enthralled with Demena CL but I wouldn't want to bitchslap her yet. I know where she is coming from. She has spent many years with the Siblings. The kitchen is her domain and she wants to protect Remin BUT she is bulldoggish about it. She is not open to possibilities yet. I am sure if she becomes a problem, that Kudorin will nudge her in the right direction.
It is going to be very interesting seeing why the Gods are in disagreement, and to see if it gets soothed out. Naritano did have a bright and interesting future that was planned for him, becoming a restaurateur that would have positively effected many people before he was destined to be Remin's husband. I wonder if it is Ebanosa, Edanola and Matanori that protest because they are most involved with food. Brining Naritano to Orikodisata years in advance would disrupt the enjoyment of many citizens of Naritano's talents. I guess we will find out.
I loved that they met in the Temple as apposed to the kitchen. We all know that Remin would be attracted to a new Chef but he met Naritano in the context of a citizen seeking to worship his Gods. The effect it had on Remin, allowing him to counsel and be a Priest without fighting his attraction, I believe will be far more powerful for him in the long term. Good has already come out of Remin meeting Naritano. Having a full tummy and being sated with amazing food, is nothing to sniff at but knowing how Naritano views food is even more important and Remin got that from the conversation in the Temple. He may have understood that from being fed, but it would have taken a lot longer.
I am still waiting for Anosanim to come up with a new uniform for Naritano and his workers. I guess he will need some workers first.

I get exacly where she is coming from and I love her for it. What Anorian wouldn't want to protect one of Orina Anoris' most treasured princes? I don't fault her diligence, I fault her bitchiness. She doesn't have to be an asshole to Naritano to get her point across. In the last chapter, she told Remin that the new chef was "not fit for your presence." I'm sure that she just meant he was young and attractive and Remin's response indicated he knew exactly what she meant, but did she really have to put it that way? And she said it in Tano's hearing, which led to him thinking that he was not good enough in general to be around the royal high priest. How horrible! She is just rubbing me the wrong way over and over again, which is why I'm looking forward to someone telling her to rein herself in.

Well at least she isn't as bad as the Sultan of Lorbain for a protagonist. I am sure that Kudorin will rein her in if she adversely effects Naritano's view of Remin or of himself. She isn't as bad as some of those TV Chefs either *cough* Gordon Ramsey *cough* for abrasiveness either. You can always write some Fan Fic and have Xoe Voe dress her down if she irritates you too much.

I'm not very happy with the way Demena's acting either, come to that, but I agree with her intentions. She wants to make Remin as comfortable as possible. But she shouldn't be such a a bitch in the process. I mean, it's not like Tano is handsome on purpose, or a good chef on purpose. The poor man can't help himself, really.
It'll be interesting to see both of their characters develop, because I do believe that she's a really nice person (she would have to be, since Anosanim likes her, and when Anosanim likes someone, it means they're good... well, okay, for the most part) who has the Siblings' best interest at heart.
And yes, I loved Tano and Remin's first conversation! Tano loves food and everything about it, Remin loves to eat food, and that'll make for fascinating conversations between the two of them. Slow-moving honey... mmm.
No, no, I'm not going to eat 5 spoonfuls of honey right before going to bed, I'll bounce off the ceiling if I do that. But I'm now thinking of Remin covered in honey and Tano licking it off, or vice-versa... and they're going to have sex before getting married, right? We're not going to have to wait 100 chapters before we get tothat the way we did for Kudorin and King Xio Voe?
Right?
Cause I don't think XV will stand for that. Neither will Ilanosa for that matter, and I'm with Ilanosa on that one: it needs to happen faster than that, and I can't wait to see it!
Did I go off-topic?

Never off topic Vani when it comes to discussing sex And sadly yes, Remin can not have sex out of wedlock, so I do not even know if they will do much more than kiss. I wonder if they will just draw the line at penetrative sex and we will be allowed into the bedroom for "other" stuff or if they will just talk each other into orgasms.

So we're in for another 100 chapters of non-sex? Ish...
Then again... they can use Remin's toys, which will be interesting lol. An they can touch, which is something XV and Kudorin couldn't do. So, yes, kissing, yes to mutual masturbation, I suppose, no to inserting tab a into slot b ('Living' anyone?), but yes to inserting dildo a into slot b?
Sounds good to me. *giggle*

I think it is going to get very interesting with Tano's reluctance to achieve orgasm which may spoil his cooking edge. I think Remin may be willing to modify the rules a bit about no sex but I wonder if Tano will.

I would hope so. But truly there are no guarantee's with Matthew Hitari anyone??? Tano does seem perfect for Remin, and it is a God blessed relationship so I don't think that will be a problem. It's going to be quite a ride though. I do think how Tano was introduced does point out the fact that we have never heard Ritek's POV so the chance of him being Anosanims HEA is slim to none. But I am glad Anosanim has a wonderful relationship, it does help with Talin.

Oh, I've been saying for a while that Ritek wasn't Anosanim's # 1. But it's good for him to have a relationship.
I can't wait for this to develop! With the gods being so giddy, I'm 100% sure that this is real, and you know that the gods have someone really special in mind for one of their favorite sons, so we already know that Tano is special. I mean, look at Bade, he's perfect for Orinakin, and Xio Voe is perfect for Kudorin, and we all know that a sexified chef is perfect for Remin.
Anyone else wonder what's going to happen when Remin slaps a chastity belt on him and ties him to a bed... only to start torturing him with a feather?

I can't wait for 224. I love the end of this chapter (223) and the way that Xio Voe talks about Remin and Tano to Remin and Remin has no idea who is actually involved. I also loved that one god (probably Ilanosa) was "upset" that another one called the situation "distracting"! Kind of an insult to Ilanosa, though.

From Chapter 110: After finding the correct books, he began to gather supplies. Other royal high priests before him had sent others on those errands, but Remin preferred to get necessary supplies himself, when possible. He liked going to the storage room and seeing the rows of candles in all colors, the beautifully polished candleholders. Liked to stop to inhale the aroma of incense. Liked, frankly, to take a moment to imagine, to fantasize. He’d always wanted to have sex there, against the shelving, with the scent of incense thick in the air and lust heavy in his veins and a firm, hot body slick with sweat against him as he-
Remin shook himself. Someday. He’d…someday. Swallowing, he suppressed a shiver of need and hastily gathered the necessary supplies, eager to step out into fresh air. Maybe he should’ve had sex in there, at some point, so that it would be a known thing, and not a hot, tantalizing possibility.
One fact he was certain of. The man he married, whoever that was, whenever that happened; the man he married had to be someone who’d have sex in a supply room. Anyone who was too prudish, too insecure, or too strict for that, wasn’t the right man for him. Remin had waited too long without sex to commit for life to someone shy and restrained. So how long until they have sex in the supply closet do you think?

They'll have to start with just making out in the supply closet. Before Kudorin's wedding, in the chapter where Rini was considering becoming a priest (excuse me while I over that idea), Remin described how celibacy works for the Anorian priesthood: “No penetrative acts,” Remin said. “Nothing orgasmic. No genital contact. But priests are already involved with citizens’ lives, so fully, so intimately, that there needs to be some separation. We need the citizens to continue to respect the priests, and we need to limit the priests’ ability to abuse their authority. People who want to become closer to the gods may either decide on their own, or be coerced into believing, that becoming closer to the priests will bring them closer to the gods. That’s why we have rules limiting priests’ sexual interactions with the public. They can date and mingle, but sexual intimacy is reserved solely for a spouse. I think, though, that priests may be given a little more leeway with fiance(e)s. I also think that Remin and Tano may cross a line at some point and Remin will freak and it will become a major internal conflict for him. I'm pretty sure that Kudorin will encourage them, though, and give Remin a bit of a pass. There certainly must be other priests who have bent the rules a bit in the name of love.

Yes, especially after Ilanosa blesses the union and they are waiting for the wedding to happen. I can see them not doing the penetrative acts but everything else would be fair game.

Oh, but I'm willing to bet that everything will turn out all right in the end, and that Tano will find himself just as capable of creating amazing meals once he's been satisfied by Remin.
Remember when we all thought that XV would never come out of his shell? Now he's simply asking Kudorin whether he'd like to be fellated before something or other.
Whatever Matthew has in store for us, I'm sure it'll be great, but I don't want to go on a banner strike again!
Vani Wouldnt it be cool if Tano finds that having sex with Remin increases his culinary skills........... I cant imagine it not, I mean its REMIN.
