"To keep your dog from attacking the neighbor’s livestock, you keep him securely leashed"

I loved how Remin used this to describe why he only dates once.  I can just imagine him 'attacking' his dates  Grin

More Remin and Naritano wonderfulness, but again my favorite part of the chapter was Xio Voe's progress in developing relationships with his brothers-in-law. His breakfast with Anosanim was lovely and I particularly enjoyed the last bit:

Quote
As Anosanim drifted gracefully away, something unseen struck Xio Voe between the eyes.  I didn’t get my kiss.

Ridiculous.  Your kiss?  If you would like me to kiss you, then present yourself to me and I shall kiss you.  Do you confuse yourself with your siblings to the extent that you consider a kiss to one of them to be a kiss for you?  Did you engage in sex with Bade and Ritek last night, as Orinakin and Anosanim did?

I wish.  I’d love to fuck Bade.  He’s so furry.

I have not yet figured out whether you’re a depraved sex fiend or hopelessly, romantically idealistic.

I am Anosukinom.  I am all gods and all people, all of Orina Anoris.  Most likely, I’m both depraved and romantic, both a sex fiend and hopelessly idealistic.

Yes, that sounded like the Anosukinom he knew.

I notice that Kudorin didn't mention that held like to fuck Ritek. Maybe the omission means nothing, but I'm still putting on the list of indicators that Anosanim won't end up with Ritek.

I also love that Kudorin flicked Xio Voe for not kissing Anosanim. Such a Kudorin thing to do. LOL

Yeah, the flick was perfect!   Laughing  "His kiss"!  I loved that chapter's ending.

I loved the chapter.  It was a nice bridge and getting to know Naritano and Remin together better chapter.  Like CL I love watching XV become the man of Xio Wae's dreams.

I do not miss Orinakin and Bade as much because over the last while I read the 76 chapters of ITL that constitute the Purple Book.  They are now married and in the balloon heading out to their life together, heading off to Lorbain and finally into Jacacea.

Life is good. Floating Hearts

LOL Mountie, what a coincidence! I'm rereading The Purple Book as well. I'm at their wedding. Looking forward to the Bride's Lament.  Grin

I am with Bade and Orinakin in Jacacea and Kudorin and Orinakin just had this exchange:

Quote
Xio Voe was, as far as Orinakin could determine, frighteningly emotionally vacant, a breathing corpse.

“We must teach The Heir that there is another way,” Kudorin said.

Of course.  Yes.  How?  Orinakin scanned the walls and people around him, running his gaze over a sparkling fountain, seeking answers.

Kudorin’s voice was encouraging, yet firm.  “Bring him to me.”

Courtney - totally agree with you on the Ritek issue.  I really don't think they're going to stay together.  I've said from the beginning that I don't think the two of them click.

However, I think that Rini and T'rin click, and it doesn't seem like that's going to happen either.  But I digress.

I also loved the way XV decided to further his relationship with Anosanim.  Cute.  Group Hug with XV in the center!!!
