Gold Book predictions

Siince Remin's book has been so fervently anticipated, many of us had a lot of predictions about it, both before it began and after it started. Who Remin's husband was, what kind of interactions they'd have, what might happen with other characters, things like that. Some have panned out, some not.

What predictions have you had about the Gold Book? What has come true and what has turned out to be wrong? What are some of your future predictions?

Lots of us got behind the nymphomaniac chef idea, which totally happened. Tano is so awesomely perfect for Remin that I'm not even disappointed that my hope that he was a would-be bela didn't bear fruit. I figured that he'd be the chef Xio Voe would hire for Jacacean cuisine who was trained in Ileaia. Score!
 
When Remin started dating, I predicted that he would end up bonding with Tano outside of that, which has come true (yay!). I also think that when Remin and Tano realize (separately, I'm guessing) that they are falling/have fallen in love, they'll panic and much angst will ensue. And I think that some of Remin's celibacy rules will be broken before the wedding and that Remin will need Kudorin's and maybe even Xio Voe's (as Ilanosa's blessed) help to come to terms with that. So will Tano, who will totally freak at making the royal high priest break his vows. But I think the gods will be okay with it because it will be lovesex between two people meant for each other.

I also predict that Anosanim and Ritek's relationship will somehow end in this book, probably because Ritek will complete his life unexpectedly. Carriage accident? Armed robbery of his shop? Poisoned by someone wanting to upset the Sibs? I'm leaning toward something accidental.

Oh no.  I hope Ritek doesnt die  i know that he is'nt Anosanim's 'one' but I'm just hoping that he has to leave or something, yes I know I'm a big sap.

Although i know that there is gonna be angst when Remin realises he is in love with Tano i dont think he will be able to stay away fromTano and the food  xx

Now that I have read chapter 240, and since Tano knows he has met his sexual equal, I am predicting that Tano will be unable to stop having nocturnal emissions.  Xio Voe is going to become disgusted with getting bad food and will orchestrate a meeting, like he did with the Judge and the Prince, so that Tano and Remin can really begin their journey towards getting married.  So prediction 1.  Xio Voe will step in and make sure Tano and |Remin think of each other as romantic partners and just not friends.

I agree about something happening with Ritek CL but I do not think it will happen in this book.  Or if it does happen, then something momentous has to happen with Talin which makes Talin re-examine his path so he is in a strong place to support Anosanim while Anosanim struggles with his grief.  It will either be that or we will start to hear Ritek's thoughts and he will become Anosanim's intended.  I still think that is a shot in the dark.  Prediction 2.  Talin will have something happen that gets his head screwed on straight.  I will have to think more.

I also think T'rin will get married during the Gold book.  I think Rini will go back to the Plains for another visit.
