Dead Faint  That was just WOW!!!  The pantry!  I'll never look at one the same way now.

And I can't wait for next week and Xio Voe's reaction.   Wink

Matthew,

Thank you for making me laugh - I've had a rough few hours.

Great chapter.  I was giggling insanely.  Can't believe Tano released himself within Remin's earshot.  Fantastic.

But, curses!  You stopped the chapter too soon  OMG!.

Loved XV's reaction to Kudorin's question.  Ha!!!

History wasn’t a series of individual events, but a rich story where each plot affected the others.

I also chuckled, a lot.  And if I was eating there... I'd be really suspect of any cream that came out of that pantry. Giggle

I love the interactions between Kudorin and Remin.  Really love them.  I think I am falling even deeper in love with Kudorin during The Gold Book, not that I don't already  Red Heart Kudorin, but this exchange just hit me as perfect.

Quote
“Well, it’s certainly not my fault that you can’t maintain friendships,” Kudorin said, sitting beside him.

Remin cast him a slow, narrow look.  “I don’t know which I find more comforting in my distress, your brotherly affection or your divine benevolence.”

“And what’s this about your only friend?  Suddenly you and I aren’t friends?”

“You don’t count.  You have to love me.”

“True.”  Kudorin adopted Remin’s posture.  “I wouldn’t worry about it.  You were really only in it for the food, and it’s not like he’s going to stop cooking.”

So do you think Remin is going to be able to keep his distance and keep this friendship now that he is going to be doing Tano's counseling?  I wonder how Xio Voe will react to having his cook taken out of the game.  I imagine he'll be practical since he has suggested Tano get help but I wonder if his version of help included jacking off in the pantry three times Thinking

And I wonder, as have others, how much time will pass before Rini or Ilanosa spill the beans to Remin about Tano being his?

Best part of the chapter:

Quote
Breakfast itself was delicious.  Remin envied Xio Voe for waking up to this kind of meal every morning.  It was invigorating yet satisfying, and when Remin had emptied the plates set before him, he moved on to Kudorin’s plates.  Just as he reached for the fish, however, Xio Voe reached for the fruit.

            Their eyes met.

Slowly, warily, Remin lifted the plate of fish, drawing it toward himself.  Maintaining alert eye contact, Xio Voe took the bowl of fruit.

“What are you going to do, arm wrestle for the juice?” Kudorin asked, laughing.  “Flip a coin over the muffin?”

Xio Voe eyed Remin.  “I will concede the muffin.”

Of the two, Remin wanted the muffin more.  “I’ll concede the juice.”

Xio Voe’s expression was glacial as he extended a hand.  Remin shook his hand, then snatched up the muffin.
This totally made my day. Xio Voe and Remin facing down over food. It was like one of those moments when war is averted. Only Orinakin and Kudorin have the capability to diffuse that kind of tension.

I love that Remin will be the one counseling Tano. What I love most about it is that Remin didn't want to pass it on to another priest because he is so close with Tano, as a friend and as someone who also struggles with a very strong libido. I love that this will get a lot more angsty before it settles and that no matter what happens between Remin and Tano, be it good or bad, it will only bring them closer.

I wonder if Tano will actually have sex with someone; he may just decide to go solo for a while. I can't decide if I'd rather see him satisfy himself and not be with anyone until he's with Remin. I don't want him to be deprived, but I think it'd be romantic if the reason is that other men don't measure up to who Tano would rather be with.

I rather like the idea of him going to an inatunin and having five men totally committed to making him weak with complete satisfaction. Having it be a professional would be different than having it be with someone else. That thought makes me wonder how Tano will be with the royal belas. I think that Remin will encourage him toward them when they're married. He's a total voyeur and would love to see belas clustering around his husband. Something he and Bade have in common.  Wink

CL I was wondering myself the same thing; Will Tano choose not to partner with anyone since no one measures up to Remin.  Or will he be similar to Bade, in that he is attracted to everyone.  It was so difficult for Orinakin to accept that Bade might want him alone, than just that Bade was attracted to every good looking man.  I think if Tano goes looking and sees that no one is acceptable because they are not Remin, that he will come to understand he is in love, or completely infatuated with Remin.  Since the counseling sessions will be more than a 1 shot thing, I wonder if that will come out in the future.

Okay I'm transferring my comments from Goodreads...:

I wonder when it will dawn on him (Remin) that Tano would be more than suitable as a husband. I'm currently reading (ch.26) in my reread about Bade & Orinakin. How much they agonized about how they would stay together and it just never seemed to occur to either of them that they should get married.Kudorin could have told them but he wanted them to have the experience of falling in love and working out their relationship.

Now to see how Remin handles Tano's first counciling session. Wink

I believe Tano could go to a intunin in town to relieve his "stress". The belas that work there would be more then happy to help him. For a fee. They are after all, working professionals.Cheesy

And talking about belas......even though Remin can't use their services after he's married, is that restriction also on his husband? Cause it would be really hot to have lesis bela going down on Tano while Remin is fucking him. *scratches head*

And when Remin is married, the Siblings so have to have a orgy! Even though Remin can only interact with his husband, he would enjoy being able to watch the others while taking his pleasure. Not having to be excluded would do him a world of good. Cheesy
