            “Yes.  Of course.”  Color brightened around the room, matching the vibrancy in Anosukinom’s eyes.

Exactly Susanne.  I was wondering if Talin will scoop up Vade if Selorin doesn't get his shit together?   Talin is closest to Selorin in sexual dominance.

Now onto some other comments.  I read the chapter yesterday for enjoyment. I read it again and ponder the meanings.

I really liked Remin's conversation with the Gods and the images of the hands. Too bad Vade's hand wasn't reaching for Selorin. But that's not happened yet. But a girl can dream right? With Remin, there are a lot of hands being offered in his life right now but none with the intent that Naritano has yet to realize, is in himself. I do not believe any of the hands Remin saw reaching for him were Naritano's, since Naritano has not reached out yet. I wonder if we will see this vision again sometime in the future?

And I liked this: 

Xio Voe considered laughing. Matters seemed to be progressing in a telling fashion. “Is there any particular reason you see fit to concern yourself with Chef Naritano Pitok’s sex life?”

How hard it must be for them all to know that Naritano is Remin's intended and yet not give anything away?

And were you chuckling when Kudorin and Xio Voe were needling Remin or did you want to smack them? The first time I read it, I chuckled. The second time I wanted to smack 'em. I loved Xio Voe trying to picture Anosadim without makeup. The Never ever ever ever... stop it stop it stop it... was kind of funny. And this one was hilarious

So Xio Voe, so Kudorin. I said this last chapter, I am falling more in love with these two.

My heart broke all over again for Remin when he finished his thoughts about his solitary sex life and his wishing he could even kiss

So he was left dating men, and shaking their hands, and fantasizing of something so simple, so wonderful, as a kiss.

That was an amazing insight into the nature of Kudorin's love for his brothers and the bonds the eight siblings share. I never would thought that I would learn more about it via a conflict with Xio Voe's need for privacy and Kudorin's need to share the blessing, to him, which is Xio Voe with his siblings. And the thing about Vade being included was really important.

It was lovely seeing Naritano sexually satisfied. It was hard having him still concerned about his job. It will be fantastic when he can have both, security in his sexuality and confidence in his cooking. I can't wait for that to happen. And do you agree with Remin? 

But wasn’t it unfair to use Naritano’s life as his personal testing ground?

I adore Anosadim for taking Xio Voe to lunch. My heart melted at Rini being summoned to discuss Kudorin's and Xio Voe's lovesex. And did any of you catch Desin quickly stopping by the Police Station? o.OOoooo I wonder...

To rumours circulating about Remin having a shared sex life again, since he and Naritano went out twice and it appears someone he dated saying he jerked off for Remin.  Booo Hisss...

The first time I read, when I hit the part about Kudorin and Xio Voe settling out their conflict over privacy I had the thought roll through my mind "Enough! The Rainbow Book is finished. I am reading The Gold Book... where was Remin and Naritano?" Am I just being impatient?

I hadn't had that thought till all the speculation happened around Ritek and Anosadim ending and Talin having to reintegrate into life to support Anosadim.  But Talin may be ready sooner than Selorin if it happens and Selorin keeps playing.  The one thing that counteracts that is Kudoorin saying to Talin that his husband will be almost as handsome as Xio Voe.  And though I know Bade and Vade are pleasing to look at, they are not handsome like Hitari or Xio Voe are.

Kudoes to Xio Voe for his compromise with Kudorin on the discussing their sex life with his brother in-laws. And yes I took those comments about Vade as support for him & Selorin as well.

I also agree about the hands none of those reaching out to Remin were for him because Tano hasn't reached out to him yet. And he only saw Orinakin & Kudorin lead away because they're the only ones to have found their spouses and get married at this time.

Okay now I really want the counsilling session!

Yes Kudorin's juvinile humor did make me chuckle...


One aside note: I've often wondered if Talin's intended will turn out to be Jacacaen.... hmmmm.

I just so hope it is Selorin and Vade I just see a perfect couple in the two of them ....Vade likes to be dominated and Selorin likes to dominate. Vade is smart and like to learn and can be a bit arrogant at times as Selorin is at times....can you imagine the make up sex between these two after a heated debate and disagreement  "thud"      Which they debate and disagree alot and i think it keeps Selorin on his toes I think he would never get "bored" with a husband like Vade.
I'm thinking the two of them would be ok with bringing other "partners" into there bedroom every now and then..you know threesomes, foursomes etc etc....     Selorin and Vade....I could go on and on why I think they would be perfect for one another   

I also remember (and ill look when i have a bit more time) that back in the Purple book it said  that Bade and Vade belong together or some refrence was made to that.

So absolutely Susanne.  I agree with all your points.  I am firmly on the Selorin/Vade camp.  I wonder if it will take Talin making a play for Vade for Selorin to finally wake up and smell the coffee.  Yes, you can have sex with your bother in law.  I still do not understand where that taboo comes from.  And yes, if they ever get together I see their sex lives full of interactions with the Royal Belas.  Tepani is going to have a hey day with Vade at Selorin's directions.  I can see Tepani spending ther day torturing Vade while Selorin as at work.  Then having Selorin come home to a lust crazed Nosupolin Prince.

I think Matt will have a couple of twists and turns for Selorin and Vade yet up his sleeve like CL says.

Shanghi you think that Talin would go for a Jacacean?  I wonder since we have met the Jacacean scientists and the Jacacean Priests if we will ever meet the Jacacean Artists?

Something I can see Selorin and Vade doing is still having a boyfriend every month. In Anorian culture, each couple determines how open their relationship is and somehow I can't see Selorin or Vade giving up the allure and entertainment of the Monthly Indulgence considering how much they both love Anorian men. And I just can't see Vade with Talin. Every time I try to consider it, my brain spits out a "does not compute" conclusion. LOL

Rumors of Remin's sex life...totally expected. Baseless gossip happens with public figures. With Remin's sexual past and reputation combined with the fact that he's now dating, it was only a matter of time. It doesn't upset me, but it does make me proud of Remin for handling it so well. He might mention it to Mihina and Hasano so they can mention to his prospective dates that lying about the royal high priest's private activities is decidedly unbecoming. Speaking of asshole dates, I wonder how the prosecution of the sexual assaulter is going.

And I LOVED Kudorin doing the "creepy disembodied voices" tease. It actually made me wonder why we hadn't seen him do that earlier. It strikes me as the kind of thing he'd totally enjoy. Maybe when he was freshly ascended and just beginning to play with his divinity. And it was such a immature sibling moment for him to be going "ever ever ever ever" while Remin was repeating "stop it stop it stop it stop it."

Yes I too would have expected for Kudorin to completely overwhelm his brothers with juvenile jokes like that when he ascended but Anonik would have had more omnipotence when Kudorin first received his powers and the weight of them would have been heavy.  Maybe now he is happy and married he has time to be juvenile.

As for Vade and Talin, I do not see that they would be permanent but Talin is really perceptive and I can see him making a play for Vade to knock some sense into Selorin.

I too am waiting for the asshole assaulter to be mentioned.  I hope Selorin throws the book at the jerk.

Talin making a play for Vade...maybe. All the Sibs are wickedly attracted to the Nosupolin twins, so it's certainly an idea with potential. I don't know that it'd be enough of a threat, though. I guess it would depend on how serious Talin is about going after Vade. If he "fakes it" for Selorin's sake, Selorin would know and it wouldn't have the intended effect. If he doesn't fake it and is genuinely interested in something more than a tumble, it could cause tension between Talin and Selorin. It's something to ponder, at least.

Speaking of jealousy putting things in perspective, I wonder how Remin would feel if Tano started seeing someone. Not just partnering with, but developing feelings for, like a boyfriend.  Would he get jealous? That might be interesting. I'm more inclined to think that what will help Remin realize his feelings for Tano will be someone close to him, but probably not a family member, pointing out that he and Tano have been behaving like they're together. Perhaps one of his dates or one of the high priests. We had a taste of it in this chapter when the gossip-monger mentioned that Remin and Tano had spent a festival together and went to a museum. It was a reasonable assumption to think that Remin and Tano have a relationship of some sort; both outings are classic date activities.

To true CL, it would have to be an honest "going after" for it to ring true for Selorin.  No half baked attempts would work. Selorin would see right through that.

As for Remin and Tano.  Do you think Tano could even attempt to date someone else?  I can't see it happening.  All I see is Tano falling in deep for Remin and not wanting to partner with anyone else.  I can see someone intervening, probably Xio Voe with set something up if Tano and Remin keep being blind to each other.

Tano dating...hmm. I think he might consider trying, but won't consciously realize why he doesn't really want to. I think both he and Remin will remain clueless to the potential between them for a while longer, but won't move toward anyone else in the meantime.

I can definitely see Xio Voe doing something to help things progress. One, Ilanosa would give him a nudge. Two, he cares about Remin's happiness whether he'll openly admit it or not. And three, eventually he'll get fed up that they're going too slowly for his taste and do something subtle yet effective to get them going in the right direction because he just can't stand it anymore.

I agree wholeheartedly.  Tano might consider it but will keep putting it off and not quite know why.  And you hit the nail on the head with Xio Voe and how I think it will play out.

Now just to see what Matthew will offer up next chapter.
