That was adorable. I love that Bade is still getting used to his new family, still getting used to Anorian sexual sensibilities. I do think he'll come to a point, though, where he hits his limit and will simply not be comfortable getting even more intimate with his brothers-in-law. Helping Rini get naked and making out aren't at the limit, though.
I love that Xio Voe hugged both Bade and Orinakin, absolutely loved it. I loved that Xio Voe went ahead and bared all for the swim. I love everyone's reactions, especially Anosanim's. It takes a lot to get him speechless. LOL I love the friendship developing between Anosanim and Xio Voe; I think that it will go from Xio Voe humoring his husband and brother-in-law to actually being friends.
I missed Tano, but I loved the talk about him. This was my favorite part:
Bade looked at Xio Voe. “What do you think of your new chef?”
Xio Voe’s tiny smile made Rini grin. “Chef Naritano Pitok strikes me as a man of good intentions and unshakable faith. He is a superbly skilled chef. I will be glad when he is able to cook for me again. His love for Remin is remarkably ciovxae.”
What? “Ciovxae?” Rini repeated.
“It’s like bright, or vivid, or blossoming,” Anosanim said. “Infused with, oh, help me,” he told Xio Voe.
“Flourishing,” Xio Voe said.
Oh, nice. “Remarkably?” That sounded promising.
“It is unusually strong and developed with uncommon rapidity,” Xio Voe explained. “Perhaps in part because the gods are more selective about which people they pair with their most beloved children, and it is important for Naritano Pitok and Remin to bond. Perhaps in part because Remin is particularly appealing.”
I loved how "unusually strong and developed with uncommon rapidity ... because the gods are more selective about which people they pair with their most beloved children" also applies to himself and Bade when they were falling in love with children of the gods. I love that Xio Voe actually smiled when asked about Tano. I love that they played this game at all. It's cool to see Xio Voe interact with three people with whom he has very different relationships. His friendship with Bade is solid and comfortable and from we've seen so far, mostly platonic. He's developing a crush on Anosanim (a Xio Voe-style crush, but a crush nonetheless) with accompanying sexual attraction, and he's still working on moving past just tolerating Rini. It's fun to see him be with all three of them at the same time. I hope Rini gets his kiss.
