I have a couple of other questions and some suggestions. I don't want to go ahead and make changes like that before having others' opinions...

So, K’k’leth is the Pepesean god of war. (10.4) What's the name of the name country/clan though?  I think it's one of the clans from the plains, but that's just a guess...   Hmmm If it is one of the clans, should we assume that the name is the same form as the adjective? Like Kela (the clan) and the "Kela clan"?

Can we have a page for "The Plains" where we could list the clans and also give an overview of what's going on there? Would it be listed under Nations?  Thinking

I was wondering if we could list the other gods under Religion. We already list Nosupolin, Anorian and Soracic gods, but we also have info on various gods from other nations, like K'k'leth, the Ilaeian gods Aea and Uiu (ABT)... and I think listing them under Religion might be a good idea.

Also, for Orina Anoris, I was thinking we could have a page (or a subdivision of the Orina Anoris page) for the Judicial system, where we could talk about how it's structured (the trials, how the high judge makes the decision, etc), the different positions (high judge, assistants, lawyers, etc.), the prison system, and from which we could link to the Criminal code page. Or we can just put the Criminal Code as a subdivision of the Judicial system page/sub-division.

Thoughts?

Those are good suggestions.  Actually, I was planning on putting the judicial system under "infrastructure" in Orina Anoris as a link to a stand-alone page called the "Anorian Justice System" (or "Anorian Judicial System," whichever sounds better) because there's definitely too much info for it to be under the "infrastructure" section of main page of "Orina Anoris"--info like the trial process, the types of punishments, old laws like the laws of the Romatorep and the Korasemor Anorisabi, the comparison between the Anorian justice system and everyone else's, rehabilitation/counseling, and so and so forth.

The Criminal Code is a great idea.  I just now looked and saw that you've made one in the Wiki, and after all of the information is gathered, it'll be easy to see if it's a good idea to keep the Criminal Code separate or to merge it into becoming a subdivision of the main Anorian judicial system page--but it all depends on how much info both sections have, and how well the info inside the Criminal Code fits within the main judicial system page.  (There's a ton of info to go through and find--once it's all gathered, it'll be easier to see how it should be organized.)

Honestly, I've been gathering info for both Jacacea's and Orina Anoris' pages simultaneously (especially for their infrastructure--a lot of my time has been devoted lately to the "Health Care" and "Education" sections of their pages), creating them, and letting them sit for a while, so that when I have the time I can try to make individual pages for certain things that are very long (like Jacacea's "Health Care" subsection and it's "Education" subsection) to see whether it all looks better that way or not.  The judicial system is going to be made next for Orina Anoris, because it's a major part of infrastructure.

(I tend to do the same sections for Orina Anoris and Jacacea at the same time, for the sake of parallelism and order, and keeping everything as similarly formatted possible.  That's why it takes a long time to do both sections, because of the time it takes to gather information for both countries at the same time and then organizing them at the same time.  Since we haven't gotten much about Jacacea's judicial system, except that they include capital punishment like hanging, Jacacea's judicial system will probably stay under its "infrastructure" section for now, while Orina Anoris will have a separate page for it.)

Anyway, all of this kind of talk is great for the Wiki.  Awesome suggestions.  You know, I wonder if it might be possible to ask everyone to contribute judicial system info the way everyone was contributing Seven Siblings physical appearance info like in that thread you recently made?

Edited to Add: Wow, Falconer, I'm really glad you started this thread.  I was looking at Orina Anoris and trying to think of the best way to organize it--and saw that I'd already put under "Governmental and Administrative Organizations" the bullet-point of "The Judicial System."  Rather than going under infrastructure, it might be best to put it where I originally thought it should go--as a stand-alone link under "Governmental and Administrative Organizations."  "Infrastructure" might have been a good place to put it underneath, except that since the courts are so very government-run, it should stay in "GandAO"--I'll be sure to add Jacacea's the same way.

Releived  Whoo, way to keep me on my toes!

Types of punishments and old laws would fall under the Criminal Code, whereas trial processes, prison system and offices would be the things that would fall under the Judicial system... You're totally right, though, I would imagine that once we get to Selorin's book, we will get a whole lot more info on the judiciary system, so a separate page is best.

That's a great idea. We could put these kinds of threads in the Wiki sub-forum. That way, anyone could contribute with quotes and suggestions, and be part of the Wiki-fun.  Happy Dance

No, that's what I mean--all the information about Anorian justice (including everything that goes into the "Criminal Code" rather than the "Judicial System") has to be collected first and then divided into the appropriate sections (both the main "Anorian Justice/Judicial System "page and the "Criminal Code" page), so we can see if keeping "Criminal Code" as a separate page looks best, or if putting it as a sub-section into the "Anorian Justice/Judicial System" looks best.

(By the way, do you have a preference for "Anorian Justice System" versus "Anorian Judicial System"?  Because I can't seem to make up my mind.  I don't really have strong feelings for it either way.)

You know what, though?  How about you start a thread for gathering info, and hopefully everyone (including myself, of course) will dump as much as they can into it, and you can make the pages?

You seem to have a specific vision already for how you want both pages to look.  I think the way you want to organize the specific sections within the main page and within the "Criminal Code" page sounds really great.  (I've taken the liberty of renaming the "Anorian criminal code" page to the "Anorian Criminal Code" page for you, to make it look all official-like.)

Do you want to do them?  Your vision for its setup sounds awesome, so I think you'd be best.

I can't to commit to anything until the semester's over because I have so much to do. Once I'm done with school though, I'll have time to actually work on the Wiki. For now, I can help compile info, because I re-read random chapters from time to time.

That sounds great.  Whenever anyone can help with the Wiki is always a good thing, whenever that may be.

And of course I understand the issue of time commitments--actually, my Spring Break just finished and I'm about to graduate from college, so I'm in a similar boat.  (Really, I go through the most hardcore Wiki-thons when I'm procrastinating, which is bad, and I have to stop that for now.)

I'm actually going to be taking a long break from the Wiki (probably a month and half to two months--Sorry, Matthew!  Diamond!) because there's too much going on in my life as well--trying to find a new 2nd roommate, since 1 looks like she's moving back home after graduation, the search for a full-time job, graduating, etcetera and so on--so I know where you're coming from.  I'm actually going to be retreating from this board for a while, too, for the same length of time, though I'm sure I'll get weak and post more often than I should, so if any interesting threads and debates come up, I apologize in advance for not jumping in much.

Anyway, good luck with everything, and thanks for helping with the Wiki!  I'm really glad to see you on board!
