This will be the thread where the refreshers hang out on Fridays. May as well do it here rather than clog up an inbox.

Does ITL make more or less sense when you're drunk?

Maybe Rini makes more sense and Xio Voe makes less.

The times I've read it when I was drunk before it made as much sense to me and when I reread it when I was sober. I was just even happier to read it. You're about to get drunk posted though...

Booze is optional, but the refreshers obsessively click on the link or refresh the page until the new chapter posts. It's MHT's nickname for us.

Thank you!  (I've been wondering if it's possible to move a thread, actually, since I realized somewhat belatedly that it should probably here, on the ITL General Discussion board, rather than the Chapters board.  Wasn't thinking, obviously.)

I love the new board!  It's wonderful!  Dancey And fun, the colours, the smileys I love it.   Where did everyone get the beautiful sibling art? I especially love Talin's.  The red is gorgeous!  How can I get one that says Orinakin or Bade?  Or both?  Do I make them myself?  I am not the least bit artistic, but if I have to I would do it.

It's Friday!  YaY!!

I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to read ITL today though Sad   My boyfriend and I are going to his parents home this weekend and we leave this afternoon.  So the earliest I'll get to read it is Sunday night possibly, most likely Monday morning.  How sad.

*click*

Nope, still not up.  It's too early.  Maybe I'll get lucky and it'll be up early this afternoon!

*clickclickclickclickclickclick*

It's nice to know that there are other people out there like me that sit there and keep reloading the page in hopes of it updating.  It's always so exciting when you're sitting therer refreshing and all of sudden the new chapters up!  That's when I go  Dancey Dancey Dancey and scare my roommates lol

This is going to sound silly but I think I've found a way to cure my "refresher-ness." I con all my friends into going to dinner and a movie. If I do it right I'm home by midnight and the post is up. It's just waiting for everyone to get off of work that's the hard part (and the part I haven't been able to occupy my time with).

I think my people are getting frustrated though ... this is four weeks in a row I've done this. We're all starting to run out of money. I never thought a $1.99 a month subscription would turn into a $100 a month habit.   Sad

.... *Click*

Ok, so it's not really cured.  But dinner and a movie totally helps.

The only highlight of my day was seeing the American president  and ITL.

I agree, he wouldn't.  No Way

But that email smoked!

If you were offended, I wish that you'd let me know at the time.  I also wish that you'd let me know privately, because I'd rather not discuss this in public.  But you continue to press the point, so I'd like to address the issue.

I'm sorry if my tone offended you.  I apologize for that.  I didn't mean to hurt your feelings, and I was in the wrong.

My readers are very valuable to me, and I like to return their generosity with kindness.  I don't ever intend to be rude or snap at them.  My readers are great and I don't take that for granted.

I sounded impatient that day for several reasons.  One, because you and I had engaged in that same conversation several times before.  It frustrated me that I seemed not to be getting my point across, and I took a sharper tone than usual.  For that, I apologize.  I was sarcastic, and I shouldn't have been.

For another, the message that you'd sent to me that particular day offended me in a very real way.  The California Supreme Court had just recognized marriage equality for lesbian and gay couples, a landmark moment for civil rights and gay rights.  And your e-mail message to me was:

Congratulations! Are you getting married? That's great but we still would love to have installment 84. It is 8:30PM FRIDAY !

That was a monumental moment in human rights, and I was incredibly offended by your comments.  I didn't address that, and I should have, but I was too upset to have that conversation.  Instead, I addressed your point about ITL updates.

I'm sorry that my tone offended you.  I'm sorry that I was sarcastic.

Since we're having this discussion in public, for the record, my reply:

We've talked about this before.  I appreciate your support, and I love your enthusiasm, but there's no need to e-mail me about this.  I update when I can.  Unless it's midnight my time, it's not "late."  Even then, if I haven't updated, there's a reason for it; I'm not sitting here picking my fingernails, making you wait, for my own fun.

When I post early (on Wednesday, on Thursday) I don't hear anything from you.

I'm happy that you're excited about ITL, and I'm happy that you're eager to read more.  But e-mailing me with "where's the update?!" isn't helpful.  I know that Friday is the day to update ITL; I know that my readers are waiting.

I deleted my posts, because that is exactly what i was trying to say in them, in a teasing way.
That I deserved any answer Matthew wanted to make to me that day.

I apologize I am sorry. ... and I am probably outta here!

Gah! It took me forever to find this post! I keep forgetting where we've decided to put it and I didn't want to make a new one.

I'm very antsy this week, I think it's because I don't have any official plans to distract myself where as the last two months I've had plans that kept me away from the computer all day.

I do a 12-hour shift work and I hate day shifts.  One of the reason why is the fact that the local time here when Matthew usually post a new chapter is around 2 in the morning.  So, technically "It's Saturday!" for me.  But today is my last day shift so I can actually stay up late and not worry about waking up at 5:30am. I'm looking forward to Saturdays where I'm actually awake to anticipate the new chapter.  Happy Dance

It's 10pm here and I've just finished watching "Notradamus: 2012".  Scary stuff but I'm not sure if it's the apocalypse that everyone says it's gonna be.

Jekari and Selorin Adore  Do they have scenes where they are not having sex?  Maybe I should re-read their scenes...

Just two, but I'm hoping for more in the future!  Dancing Chapters 83 and 71.

So, I just got back from the US Embassy in Riyadh.  I got a new non-immigrant visa.  Smiley

I've been so anxious the whole week because of this.  The last time I've been there was 2 years ago when I got so insulted Angry by the woman who interviewed me.  I was literally shaking when I got out.  Here are some of the horrible conversation:

Interviewer:  What's the purpose of your visit?
Me:                I'd like to visit my brother and his family.  And just to do some sight-seeing.
Interviewer:  How did your brother get an immigrant visa?
Me:                My sister-in-law is a nurse and my brother is a physical therapist.  They applied for the visa thru an
agency.  They were in London when the application went through.  Soon after they immigrated to the US.
Interviewer:  Yes, but how?
Me:                Uh, through the Nursing agency.  My sister-in-law was the one who applied for both of them.
Interviewer:  Yes, but how?
Me:                I don't know.  I didn't ask my brother the specifics of their application.
Interviewer:  Oh, you're not close with your brother before, but you're close to him now that he's got an immigrant visa?

I was so shocked and insulted with what she said I wanted to cry.  She did some other things but that one really got to me.  She denied me a visa even though I've had 2 non-immigrant visas before and that I've been to the US 4 times.  My brother having an immigrant visa was never an issue before.  It took me 2 years to go back to the Embassy.  I was really scared to go.  So I was quite pleased today when I got a pleasant nice woman this time.  The interview took about a minute and just like that, I got a visa.  I'm gonna see my niece!  The last time I saw her was when she was born.  She's 3 years old now.  See the cute pic below:

Awwwwwwwww  She's absolutely adorable!  I'm sorry you're having so many problems just trying to visit your brother.  I know my cousin who lives in Kuwait has only been able to get permission once to visit her family here, once in nearly twenty years.

My mom just returned to  Toronto after visiting my brother and she said my niece is just adorable!  Can't wait to go this summer.  Maybe I can finally watch "Wicked" in Broadway.

Yeah, they are adorable at that age.   I only have 2 nieces, no nephews.  And my husband and I will be working on baby no. 1 this year. *crosses fingers*
