I am going on a road trip to New Orleans! No not with my boy friend, with one of my best friends! It's the 7th Annual Valentine's Day Weekend Road Trip and this one is looking to be the best ever. I go every year with my freshman year roommate - we drop off the boy friends (if we have one that respective year) and pick a random place. It is a lot of fun! And we may get to stop off and see Megan and George on the way back -- which is a big bonus! Anywho I should be packing -- but I was curious -- anyone have any neat plans on this most romantic weekend?

New Orleans? I'm so jealous. I've always wanted to go there. And no, no plans.

Having no plans is how this weekend tradition got started!
Yeah I have never been there before myself. Neither has Natalie so we are just going to figure out what we are doing when we get there. That's the fun part!

Oh that should be really fun, especially since the town will be all Jazzed up with the preparations for Marti Gras festivities happening in just under two weeks. Make sure to stop by the french quarters and have a blast! My weekend will unfortunately not be as exciting. This up coming week is reading week at my school so I'll be spending most of my time working. I am excited/nervous about taking my "G" classifications driving test on Tuesday so I'll be practicing my parallel parking.

"G" classifications driving test Google is not as helpful as I'd expected. Class G is the "novice" test, for new drivers? -Matthew

This weekend... I'm flying to... CHICAGO!!! Whee!!!! It'll be cold and snowing... same as here lol, so I'll feel like I haven't left Switzerland, except that the people will be friendlier, my boyfriend and my best friend will be there *and* I'll be able to actually *talk* to people! Yay!!!
Wish I could go back to New Orleans. I lived there for 5 years. But most of the friends I had there moved after Katrina. Dude! Mardis Gras is coming up soon! You should definitely go check it out if you can!
THROW ME SOMETHING, MISTER!!!!
So yeah... this weekend... while in Chicago... well... I land at 4 p.m. (central time), and my best friend has a shift at Borders from 7 until 11 p.m. So I'll be browsing around books all night, assuming I don't collapse from sheer exhaustion... then on Sunday, we go shopping!!! Good thing too, cause I'm not gonna bring a lot of clothes, and I'm staying there two weeks!
*giddy* It's actually Friday now for me...
HAPPY ANOSUKINOM DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"G" classifications driving test Google is not as helpful as I'd expected. Class G is the "novice" test, for new drivers? -Matthew In Ontario we have three different Driving classifications a person has to pass in order to operate a car. First classification is G1, which you can get once you turn 16 but it comes with a whole bunch of restrictions like no driving after midnight, no highway driving, no more than 3 unrelated members in the car,and having someone with Graduated license and at least 5 years of experience with you in the car at all times. The second classification is "G2" and you can do everything but have more then 3 unrealated members in the car if you are under 19 or drive outside of Canada with this license. which is something I hadn't known until I was re-entering the country and the board guard informed me but he was nice enough to let me off. You can take the test 8 months after you get your "G1". You can just drive with this license for the rest of your life but if you go for your "G" than your insurance lowers. The last Classification is "G". you can take the test a year after your "G2" and you can do anything but have more than a .08 blood alcohol count in your system. I never really got why they allow you to have some Alcohol in your system because even if you get tested and it's less then .08, you still get charaged, but I think it might have to do with the fine they give you if your caught.

Well I just found out a few hours ago that after 7 years I may not be divorced after all So that means I have been married for the past 14 years... So I think I may just sit home and drink myself into a coma.....lol What can I do but laugh about it, but I don't think my ex's wife to be will think it's very funny. There wedding is suppose to be on April 18th but now..... Have a great weekend everyone..

Maybe you'll only have to fix a few details and not have to go though the whole process again and it all gets cleared up before the wedding. Don't drink alone, call a few friends over and go out. I know timay sound trite, but do try have fun and blow some steam, having a hangover the next morning when you first remember why you got drunk, will only make the whole thing more unbearable.

My boyfriend and I are going to his parents house this weekend because his dad's about to go out of town on a buisness trip of sorts - only he's going to be gone for like 3 months. This is supposed to be a regular thing in his job though, but George obviously wants to see his dad before he leaves. So it's going to be a real romantic first Valentines together! lol Oh well, we're going to celebrate next weekend instead.
If we get to see Tara on Sunday that would be awesome! But I have a feeling that it won't happen because we may not be back home yet by the time she would be getting to us if they happen to come by us.
Well I just found out a few hours ago that after 7 years I may not be divorced after all Wow, I'm so sorry! That's really crappy. But I'm glad that you both seem to be taking it ok! I reall hope it all works itself out quickly!

Nice, nice! Can we hear more about it?
Certainly. It was PantheaCon, a big pagan convention on this coast. I was helping some jeweler friends of mine vend, so I walked away with some new shiny things as payment. I was superbly smart, and packed only heels, so I barely walked away at all. No one in the world knows how to party like pagans do, which is why I'm exhausted -- I was consistently going to bed around four or five, and waking up at seven or eight to eat breakfast and go vend. Hrm. It was an intensely busy weekend, so if there's anything specific you'd like to hear about, let me know. By far, the most exciting thing that happened was that two of my friends, people I've known since I was thirteen and who have been together for longer than I've known them, got engaged. It's wonderful to see the people I like all happy. I also drunk dialed Jae a couple of times, because I promised I would before I left. The first time I called, she didn't believe me when I told her I was drunk.

It was a very nice call, I have to say. Not a typical drunk dial at all--no singing of random showtunes, no slurring of words, no mishmash of reality...really, it was quite odd, but pleasant. (Note: I like having people drunk dial me, so I can tell them the next morning what they said and how they said it in a very amused fashion. Someone once made me sing the "Let my people go!" part from that song "Go Down Moses," which made me instantly very fond of them.) - Jae

What does it mean that I sing showtunes when I'm completely sober? (Usually something from Rent or Wicked)

I sing showtunes when sober, too. Ask Jae, I torture her by bursting into song often enough. That's funny, though, since when my best friend and I are drinking together, we traditionally watch Rent or listen to Wicked. In this particular instance, though, we ran through Into the Woods, Chess, Beowulf, Jekyll and Hyde, and a couple others that I don't remember because the bartender was an acquaintance of mine and I had him mix me mystery drinks. Tasty, tasty mystery drinks.
I did have a great time, and I am quite enjoying the shiny things.
I was also dispensing random acts of chocolate all weekend.

I haven't worn a dress since my first communion!!!!! *asks Anosanim for help*Please, please practice walking in it. I hate seeing bridesmaids ....STALK ....down the isle like they are on a treadmill. Knees together in any skirt, even a full one...and short steps! and swing sway the hips... I know,... watch GIGI....and practice that way!
