I don't know if I can get down with this whole Remin/Bade makeout session.  I've kindly offered my services to Remin.  I'm single.  And available after 5pm Monday-Friday.  I'm tied up (literally) on the weekends with Desin and Anikira.  If Remin can overlook the breasts and vajayjay, I think that I could really help him out.  Think of me as a very soft man, 'kay Remin?

Selorin's stuck at work because he's very dedicated and he knows that he'll be able to talk to people later on.  He also wants to give Talin a chance to take care of things himself.

Kudorin's trying to tell Talin that nhe's going to be married to Hitari!!!!!!!!!!!!  That's what he's saying!!!!!!!!!!  Ok, being fair... and going back to everything that's been said about Talin and Hitari not lasting... it's possible, I guess, that Hitari overreacts to the Xio Voe rumors.  And, because of that, it's possible that he might feel that he's not ready for marriage.  Maybe, I don't know...  That could be one way for their relationship to end, but I don't think it'll end this way... Anosanim, for one, would be heartbroken to see Talin in the state he'd be in should Hitari refuse his hand.  Besides, Kudorin would talk to him before he'd make that kind of decision.

BUT THEY'RE STILL GONNA GET MARRIED!!!!!!!!!

Anosanim, for one, would be heartbroken to see Talin in the state he'd be in should Hitari refuse his hand.  Besides, Kudorin would talk to him before he'd make that kind of decision.

AND Just imagine telling Anosanim he can't start planning the wedding!

I am starting to wonder if the presence of Kudorin King necessarily means that we are going to see his marriage buy the end of this book. I mean look at Talin and Hitari, they were a couple in the Purple book and I had thought the next book may be about Talin story but with the introduction of Xio Voe  my giddy appreciation   with his character made look over Talin.   Now that I think back to older conversation, when we used the term Rainbow book in reference to the currents story, did Matthew actually confirm that this was the Rainbow book or did, he just uses the term to answer our question because we used it.   MMM, I'm canceling my bet on the Marriage order.
 On another note, I'm really glad that Akata got fired. I was so annoyed with the person that invade Talin work space when Matthew had first written about it  but now that we have the full story  I seriously dislike the people that were involved. what they did was not cool. This is why nepotism doesn't work.

I'll be honest, I fell out of my chair.  Great chapter MTH.  The more I read, the less I like to wait for the next week's installment.  Friday's are coming slower and slower.

Wow. Took me a while to write this post.

The comments that focus on Hitari, Talin and Anosanim I'll post in their thread. But I absolutely love how Xio Voh is already affirming himself in the palace! Enrolling the help of both Anikira and Remin (and bullying them!) and delegating messengers and servants, etc. He's already acting like a king.

I like how typical conflicts that arise when you're working with family were raised in this chapter, and how they have to worry about how their aunts/uncles are going to react to the firing of one of their cousins. That's bound to happen when you're working with your cousins and such. 

Rini asking Orinakin to tell him how/what he was feeling was priceless!! 

Oh, Xio Voh and his thongs...

I liked how we got see people interact which we haven't seen interact a lot before. Like Remin/Rini (how Remin didn't go into the room to give Rini time with T'Rin), Talin/Kudorin and Selorin/Rini.

Desin: he gets all protective when he learns about Talin's paintings, but once everything gets settled (and he's assured that Talin's not interested in Xio Voh), he's back to his carefree attitude. 

Kudorin was worried about letting Xio Voh be with him during the sunset because he would be thinking about sex the whole time during dinner with Anosanim and Talin, so they got the sex over with before as if it were the most natural thing in the world (no mention of Xio Voh's self control--or lack of thereof!!). Already acting like a couple, see?

I love how Kudorin is now able to (even if not 100%) read Xio Voh, his moods, his thoughts, his expressions, getting around his inability to read his thoughts. I like how (because of that) they're able to have a "normal" relationship, in the sense that Kudorin is not omniscient when it comes to Xio Voh, and has to "learn" to know him, to accept not knowing things about him, to make guesses, to probe. It forces a communication that Kudorin doesn't have with anyone else. Like a subjective communication (which just doesn't happen with anyone else because Kudorin can read their thoughts). Keeps things interesting.

Lastly, I like Xio Voh's internal conflict. How he can't seem to reconcile his love for Kudorin with his ambitions for the Empire. He's realizing that his plans to marry Kudorin and take him to Jacacea might go against his love for Kudorin (he's starting to appreciate just how important Kudorin's connection to Orina Anoris is, and how he wouldn't leave it), and he's going to have to contemplate giving up on his grand plan (or some aspects of it) just because of his love for Kudorin. He's seeing this as a weakness. And I think he will not come to terms with this vulnerability until Kudorin shows him concretely how he can help Jacacea from the Orina Anoris throne. Xio Voh needs a compromise, he needs to see the benefits he can gain from staying at Kudorin's side, and I think he hasn't seen these benefits yet. He's learning a lot, but how can he channel this knowledge for the benefit of Jacacea? He can do so much more as The Emperor with Kudorin at his side than as the King here in Orina Anoris. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out.

Bade wasn't bold enough to do that kind of thing, but Xio Voe doesn't have that problem.  He wants to do something, and he wants it done right, so of course he's going to call upon the highest-ranking people in the country.

Also, Xio Voe doesn't have open access to that wing of the palace, but they can get him in.

I like it!  They got things out of the way.  They wanted to do it, they didn't want it to interfere with dinner, they didn't want to wait, so, go for it!

I loved that part.  I am a doer. I sew, knit, needlepoint..make sails and cushions, my own bread. 
I hate not being busy... ( course then we get addicted to this d*** keyboard). So I even
told my husband about the knitting chair...it impressed me so. (He doesn't know about the rest
of the story...as they say)

I want him to have an AH HA! moment with his gods.  ... and we still do not know how much
trouble there will be trying to get him away from his duties as Heir, even after he decides.
