Nice chapter....my two favorite parts...

~ And then Xio Voe said something so special, so exciting, and so welcome to Kudorin’s ears that Kudorin stuttered through time for a moment.

“Tell me about your brothers.”~  Cheesy

~   Xio Voe smiled, and Kudorin’s heart pounded.  “You swim, I assume.”

“Yes,” Kudorin said, his voice all breath, his mind unraveling at the sight of Xio Voe’s smile.

            “Would you like to race?”

Kudorin loved the idea.  So few people were willing to compete with him in anything, considering his advantages.  “Yes, please.”~

Love it, so normal  Grin

Xio Voe was adorable this chapter.  I liked the little surge of jealousy, and call me paranoid, but Kudorin's promise not to marry anyone else had an oddly ominous hint to it.

I liked getting Xio Voe's Kudorin-sponsored view of the brothers, too.  This was a fun, lazy sort of chapter to read.  And I loved that Kudorin was actually like 350 years in the past or something.  Very sweet.

I think Kudorin was talking about how Xio Voe cannot understand yet how much Kudorin loves him.  This quote made me all teary-eyed because this is how much Kudorin loves Xio Voe.

Quote
“You won’t lose me,” Anosukinom promised quietly, almost touching his jaw, his cheek, his lips.  “I love you, and I’ll love you forever.  Always.  Even if you can never bring yourself to love me back.  I’ll marry no other man, but you.”

Personally, I don't think that Anosukinom is going to let Xio Voe leave.  Oh, he'll *allow* him to leave, certainly, but he's going to turn on the charm so much that Xio Voe won't manage to leave at all.  Maybe he'll get stuck at the border.  That'd be awesome.

Because I shudder to think of what Emperor Xio Sei will do if Xio Voe comes home and says that he has the intention to marry Kudorin.  I'm thinking.... not gonna happen.  His father will never let him go back to Orina Anoris.  Not even if the gods interfere.

Okay, maybe if the gods interfere, he won't have a choice, but still.

I'm seriously trusting the Gods (both Anorian and Jacacean) to interfere big time with this.

Well, what the heck is Kudorin?  A balogna sandwhich?  He's te Pharaoh!  He's a god!  If anyone can make Xio Voe stay, he can.

*wonders when we'll see some Selorin/Vade action and whether Talin's going to be all right*.
