To All you Selorin and Vade shippers: “How have you enjoyed our visitors?” Xio Voe asked, setting the glass case aside.
“Some more than others,” Xio Wae replied coolly.
An honest answer. “Prince Vade?”
“Is an intelligent, charming man.”
Ah. “A very handsome man,” Xio Voe added.
“I would agree.”
“I enjoy his company,” Xio Voe admitted. “He is intelligent, frank, and lively enough to be interesting.”
“Yes, I find him a fine companion.”
“He is, you know, solely attracted to men.”
She didn’t blush or blink. “I didn’t know. I thought that he might be attracted to men and women.”
“Not Vade.”
“Thank you for informing me. It seems that I would have embarrassed him.” Xio Wae and Vade. Think about that....

I totally have a crush on Vade! It delighted me that Wae was interested. I wonder of she was interested in Bade, too. And I kinda hope that Voe mentions something to Vade. Maybe it can be right after Vade asks him about rumors of The Scion. (yes, I love it when Nosupolin princes get all Sue me. ) Do you know what killed me? I mean seriously killed me? You and your father have both long made clear that you don’t believe in signs. The dove in your mouth was the first sign you ever considered real, and a dream is not nearly so immediate or direct a sign. Your siblings have never been encouraged to confide in you or your parents. They’ve been reared to be independent and self-sufficient. If a problem arises, they’re instructed to consider their own resources first. Everything around your siblings suggests that you and your parents are too busy, too important, to be bothered by their minor concerns. And they’re taught to keep things private, to hold their tongues, to respect imperial secrets. If they think that they’re seeing visions of the Empire’s future, they can’t tell anyone but you or your parents. They can’t trust that sort of thing even to a chief priest. It’s information they can only share with the three of you. But they’ve been taught not to bother the three of you, not to confide in you, to remain separate and independent. Of course they kept it to themselves. Of course they’ve struggled with it alone. They struggle with everything alone. Poor kids. They need an Anorian and to be fussed over by Eleita and Anosanim and played with by . I loved Kudorin's conversation with the Emperor. I love it when people frame their words according to their audience, not themselves. But this... “We will accept another in your stead, and hope that serves as deterrent enough.”
“Another?” Kudorin realized who Xio Sei meant, and sucked in air. Orinakin. “You ask too much.”
“Surely,” Xio Sei said coolly, “no one is in any danger. As you would never commit a crime against the Empire, this is merely a formality.” Xio Sei, you ass. What sucks the most is that I can envision shit hitting the fan from here as I read this and I got a really disturbing sense of foreboding. But talk about an ending that will keep me smiling for a week: “I’ll admit you’re impossible! Ata, this was our strongest barrier. Xio Sei stood between us and our happiness. He’s agreeing to step out of our way!”
Xio Voe saw his point. “I should thank him.”
A soft, masculine purr by his ear, Anosukinom’s body flickering in and out of sight only inches from him. “I’d rather you thank me.”
Feeling a grin tug at his lips, experiencing a desire to humor Anosukinom, Xio Voe murmured, “How would you like me to thank you, jarouje?” Courtney <---believes that a purring is a very good thing

P.S: Bade hasn't had an orgasm in, like, seven chapters. If he doesn't get some relief soon, he'll have the worst case of blue balls ever.

I like when Xio Voe and talk. I like that Xio Voe wasn't freaking during this chapter. I found it disturbing when he did it in the previous chapters. I understand why he did it, but it was still disturbing. I found Vade, Bade and 's talk very interesting, in that sometimes I wonder how the smaller countries will react. It is a scary thing to have large coutries change direction without a huge amount of fear being experienced by the smaller ones being upset. I forsee that and Bade will be doing a lot of travelling selling this engagement as being a good idea. I was happy to hear that some of Jacacea’s chief priests had been having visions as well. Though the imagery of doves flying brings to me less of a sense of unease that having razeic's on the prowl. ... I’m wildly in love with him.”
“Surely,” Xio Voe said, “you aren’t compelled to announce that to everyone you meet?”
“I want Xio Wae to know that I love you. Love is a fundamental base of a good marriage. I wouldn’t be a good accialo if I didn’t love you. She’s your sister, she cares about you, she wants you to be happy.”
“I am,” Xio Voe admitted, “happy with you.”
Soft, warm laughter. “I’m happy with you, too, ata. Come home soon.” I am glad isn't here to listen to this lie: Orinakin groaned. “If Remin falls in love with the sultan, the sultan can have him. I’m not going through any of this again.” Because if Remin did fall in love with the Sultan I think loves enough to "go through" it again. Ohhhh... this should prove interesting: But if Xio Voe should wish it, I could furnish him with children of his own.”
“Children, plural.”
“Several, yes. As many as we wish to have.”
“They would then be your heirs as well.”
“My wife will provide me with my heirs. Any children I create for Xio Voe would be his heirs, not mine. They would be Jacacean.”
“Of his blood?”
“Yes. While I will not discuss the specifics with you now, I assure you that they would be very much his children, as surely as if he had created them with a woman.” And finally Lovely chapter... Either Kudorin will have to make good on his promise to create children because Sei will want it in writing OR after Voe becomes Emperor he'll decree that Wae's children will inherit the imperial throne. I hope for the latter because I can't help but think of that conversation Bade, Vade, and Selorin had about why are the Seven Siblings birthed in the human way and Selorin said something like "because we are human." I wonder if I can find that convo... Oh, there was something else I liked reading. I like it when puts Voe in his place by reminding him that is a deity and that it doesn't behoove Voe to forget that, especially since Voe can sometimes lapse into arogance even with . Something tells me that Voe will have to learn a few lessons from Remin on navigating between loved one, ruler, pharoah, and god. “If they gave Emperor Xio Sei a sign, he wouldn’t need to do all of this questioning, trusting, and guessing.”
“When we’ve made abundantly clear what we want, on grand and small scales, it is not our responsibility to follow that up by spelling out words in the clouds for all to read. At some point, those who worship us should make an effort themselves, to remember what we’ve communicated and to act accordingly.”
That was too true. “Yes, jarouje. My apologies.”

I really love too. Major Crush... Couldn't agree more about Vade and Bade, esp all the noises they make while It is going to be interesting to see how Jacacean Princes turn out in the end. Dei and Kei have potential.

YaY! They're so close to getting engaged!
I loved how Xio Wae had a crush on Vade, that was very cute. I kinda thought that she did, but I wasn't too sure until they actually came out and said it.
“Historically, if a member of the imperial family were to be found guilty of treason, measures would be taken. I suspect that you would object to being jailed, exiled, or beheaded.”
Kudorin smiled. “I would, yes.” ITL161.10
This made me laugh out loud, I thought it was very funny. Of course, only a few lines down this was said and I was completly chilled to the bone.
“We will accept another in your stead, and hope that serves as deterrent enough.”
“Another?” Kudorin realized who Xio Sei meant, and sucked in air. Orinakin. “You ask too much.”
“Surely,” Xio Sei said coolly, “no one is in any danger. As you would never commit a crime against the Empire, this is merely a formality.”
“I could not allow someone else to accept a punishment meant for me.”
“Isn’t that his duty? To represent you? To stand in for you?” ITL 161.10
Part of me is kinda mad at Kudorin for accepting this. Although, I am rationalizing it to myself by saying, no, nothing would ever happen because Kudorin is perfect and Orinakin cannot be harmed. But I keep thinking that some angry Jacaceans could somehow spin something or find some loophole and get them in trouble. But then I try to calm myself by saying Xio Voe would never let it happen...and neither wuld Kudorin for that matter. I keep going in circles, it's very dizzying.
But I do wonder how Bade and Orinakin will feel about that.

Something else I noticed recently: Bade is a really pivotal character. His offhand comments have made big, important things happen. The three miracles it took to get Xio Voe to go to OA was one instance and if he hadn't refered to XV as reoluxe zisoal rarascet in conversation with Xio Kei, the dreams might not have come to light until much later. Also, he's the first friend XV has ever had, which probably contributed greatly to XV's emotional development. Then there's the fact that if Orinakin and Bade weren't so in bed and out of it, XV may not have been as receptive to the idea of lovesex and including love and affection in a royal marriage, which would have slowed things considerably with his courtship with Kudorin. And before all of that, when Orinakin and Bade were in Jacacea with first time, I remember Orinakin saying/thinking that he never would have been able to be around XV's emotional void so much without cracking. I wonder what else Bade will do.

So... in the next chapter (which I hope will be posted in the next 2 minutes) I hope: Bade get's to cum. The poor boy has got purple balls. Vade seeks another Jacacean to "experience" and he get's twarted again... Maybe by Prince Kei. Emperor Sei and wins some good points for & Xio Voe. Xio Voe is able to go spend his nights with . I get another & Ritek and scene. That Xio Voe's new perception of romance works in Jacacea.
