IT had to happen sometime. Basically, I'll use this thread to complain about the cold and snow.
I HATE SNOW. Why does it have to do that? And since it snowed so late (first snowfall was in october, but it only lasted two hour and none since) that means this winter is REALLY gonna suck. Why do I have to live so far north?

Probably. We have it up here in the great white north... Or the great white north of the US. Can't speak for Canada.

I live in the interior of BC, Kamloops and there should have been snow by now that sticks but not this year. I love snow cause then everything is so bright and clean. Right now it is dull grey and brown.

I'm in the Twin Cities (about 20 minutes east of St Paul, Minnesota) and we got some white stuff last night. It's still drifting down, but I don't think it's going to amount to much unless it keeps going. I like snow. I hate the cold, but I can dela with it if I have pretty snow. I don't mind driving in it, either, unless other people are driving in it with me. Then, it's just irritating. I don't care if we have a white Christmas. My husband, chiuldren, and I will be in sunny southern California two weeks starting December 23rd.

And we keep getting it here in Burnsville. I was just in St Paul and they have no snow compared to here...

Across the river in Hudson, but both my kids were born in Stillwater and we're either there or in Woodbury for various shopping things. My knitting group is in Woodbury, too. We have some snow on the ground here in Hudson, but it looks more like heavy frost than anything else. We're not supposed to get more until Monday.

We got snow last week (in Zurich, Switzerland), but it disappeared to be replaced with frizen slush coming from the sky and soaking us to the skin. Trust me, I'm glad I don't drive! Now it's just really cold, so here I am sitting at the compzter next to the heater because it's one of the warmest sports in the apartment.

Dude, we got dumped on last night! I think it was like four or more inches between yesterday afternoon and right now and it's still coming down. I wanted to go to my favorite yarn store and pick up the yummy gorgeousness that is Cascade Ecological Wool (undyed so you get natural sheepy colors--it's gorgeous) to start a blanket for my parents's Christmas gift, but I didn't want to take the kids out on the road during the first big snow of the winter. Everyone drives like idiots the first time every year. So now I have no yarn to make the blanket I'm salivating over and have to content myself with Christmas colored washcloths instead.

OMG, it WILL be a Nosupolin blanket, won't it? Actually, no, I can't think that way lest I become tempted to keep it. I do have a purple wool sweater that I started a year ago that I really should finish, though. I shall call it my Bade sweater and it will keep me warm with thoughts of a certain Nosupolin and his sexy Anorian husband.

We're supposed to have a tour of the city today as a part of our office Christmas party (*whyyyy?!*), but it's 3° C (about 34° F) and it's either going to rain, sleet, snow, or all three...
I just got over a friggin' pneumonia, I DON'T WANT TO GO OUT FOR 3 HOURS IN THE COLD!!!
And we're getting snow this weekend and next week... and we're getting temps in the negatives... -11° C (brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr). I shall start hibernating, I swear. I generally love the cold, but I can't find my bloody winter clothes!!! *wail*

food yep, you need food. That's why I love living right in front of a convenience store, a bakery, the butcher's and a pharmacy. I never need to go anywhere for more than 30 minutes at a time because it's all so close. But tomorrow I'll have to do some big shopping. Eh. And Christmas shopping, too!!
And obviously I didn't go on the tour of Zurich lmao, I said I wouldn't. But the office party was fun!!!!

Hey Mountie, yea it was cold as hades here today a little snow but roads were big time crap but i drove about 35 miles an hour and made it to where i had to go and back. Sunday is suppose to be half way decent but then Monday and maybe Tuesday rain and snow mixed...
