This scene brings such a smile to my face and a glow to my heart
They were so bright, so beautiful, just as he’d remembered them, and as Orinakin, still in Kudorin’s embrace, promised them that his arm was just fine, Bade just gazed in wonder. He’d missed them, missed them individually and missed the small crowd of them, the way they gathered up, how different they were, how similar they were. He smiled at the blur of color and clamor of emotions as the Seven Siblings surrounded Orinakin, talking and hugging and laughing and kissing. Then everyone hugged him: Anikira, soft curves and a strong embrace, kissing his cheek; Desin, embracing him roughly and pounding him on the back; Talin, hugging him tightly but briefly; Anosanim, kissing him softly, wetly, intimately; Remin, murmuring a soft prayer. They were all there, rich with color, smiling, happy to see him, welcoming him warmly, genuinely concerned about his well-being, asking about his trip, his health, his family. And then Kudorin, with both arms wrapped around Orinakin, looking at him, meeting his eyes, smiling. “Welcome home, Inanodat.”
And then...
“My king.” The words came right from his heart. Xio Voe. His king. His husband. “My love,” he whispered, “my life.” .... My king.”
