I'd put this in the XV fear thread, but it doesn't seem to fit to me. Feel free to move if needed.

I was rereading the chapter 80 and I came across this part:

“What brought you to Orina Anoris?”

He was tempted to say, “A balloon,” but he’d never seen Xio Voe smile, and he didn’t think that would do it.  “Prince Orinakin invited me to court Anosukinom.  For a short time, I was one of his suitors, but obviously that wasn’t meant to be.”

“You know the royal family well.”

Remembering the way he’d kissed Selorin good-bye, he blushed.  “Yes, I do.”

            “That embarrasses you.”

“No, no, that doesn’t embarrass me at all.  I was just thinking of a personal memory.”  He hurried onward, not prepared to explain that further.  “The royal family has been exceedingly good to me.  They’re very warm and hospitable, and were quick to include me in their family.  I have nothing but love and respect for every one of them.”

I just noticed that of all we've seen Xio Voe do, we still have yet to see him get embarrassed or blush.

Is it so wrong that I wanna see it happen?

Not wrong at all, in my opinion.  In fact, I'd kinda like to see it myself.  But what in the world would embarass him?  Not knowing some easily found out fact?

I can only imagine Xio Voe getting flushed from something physical....like sex  Wink  I think it'd be pretty hard to actually embarass him...

While I agree that it would be incredibly difficult, if not impossible, to make Xio Voe blush, this:

Here's a question:

It was said when Bade was still courting Kudorin that if he married the pharaoh, he would gain the title of King of Orina Anoris, but when his reign was over, he would go back to just being a prince. When Xio Voe marries Kudorin, obviously he'll become king, but when it's over, what will his title be? He obviously won't be The Heir anymore. Will he just be a prince? Or will he get another title?

There's no precedent for it, but my guess would be Prince Xio Voe.  Because he's a member of the imperial family, but neither Heir nor Emperor.

Xio Voe... blush about... sex?  That sounds like something I would do, but I really don't see Xio Voe blushing during sex at all.

I'd see him blushing (when he finally falls in love with Kudorin) when Kudorin starts whispering more things to him about how beautiful he is and how much he just wants to pet him for hours and suckle on his... neck.  Yes, neck.

My mind went south...

Xio Voe... blush about... sex?

I think McCartny meant the kind of flush one gets from, ahem, physical exertion, rather than embarrassment. Wink

After reading A Prince's Tale, you have to love Xio Voe.

Meet me in your rooms.  Three o’clock.  Wear nothing but your desire for me.  –L

Come to my rooms at three o’clock.  I’ll wait for you.  Bring oil.       -G

Short, sweet and to the point. Think he wooed his other lovers like that?

From chapter 117:

Kudorin escorted Xio Voe to the Royal Museum of the Dynasty of the Twins.  The museum workers were on hand to guide visitors on a tour around the exhibits, but Kudorin preferred to guide Xio Voe himself, providing explanations and anecdotes along the way.  Aware of Xio Voe’s relentless quest for knowledge, Kudorin permitted him to ask only two questions in each room.  The limitation forced Xio Voe to ask incisive, deliberately worded questions in search of the maximum amount of information.  He did very well, and Kudorin began to wonder if limiting him to one question only would’ve been wiser.

Does anyone else seriously doubt it?

Like you said, it's direct and it's simple.  It's also commanding and imperious; there's no asking, only telling.  Which has a definite Xio Voe vibe to it.

If he has any idea that Lansester's sexually dominant, then Lansester's note is in character.  We all know that Gael is comfortable and familiar with telling people what to do, so Gael's note is in character.  But these also seem in character for Xio Voe.

Are these notes what Xio Voe sends/would send personally?  Or is this what he imagines other people to be like?

Knowing Xio Voe, he probably just sent the notes without even thinking about the personalities of either Judge Lanseter or Prince Gael.

1) Are there more emoticons than there used to be? My computer totally freaked out with all the moving faces coming up.

2) More importantly when are we going to see some Fruit on Xio Voe on Kudorin action? With all this deliciousness happening between Kurdorin and Xio Voe I want them to finally GO somewhere! I specifically remember Xio Voe saying he could be all creative with not being able to touch Kudorin (oh god, please don't make me say which chapter. Thinking), prove it good sir! I want to combine the Bade/Kudorin scene from early on with the ... strawberries (?) and uh.. totally every scene that involves Kudorin and Xio Voe. I am even ok with throwing Bade in there for good measure.

3) It's Friday!  Floating Hearts

Whoa... yes on Emoticons!  lmao.  Looks awesome, Diamond!

And mmmm fruit and the Rainbow Couple... sounds delicious indeed...  Red Heart Red Heart

I'm thinking that Kudorin could used silced peaches to tantalize Xio Voe.  He could, you know... use his telekinetic abilities to swirl the peach slice all over his naked body and...

Wow, my mind just went places!!!

So, I'm reading ITL again and can't help but grin on dialogues that alluded to Xio Voe as Anosukinom's husband.  Now, in hindsight, of course Xio Voe is nothing but perfect for Kudorin!  Adore

Chapter 15, Remin with Orinakin,  when Orinakin doubts his capability to find the right suitor for Anosukinom:
Quote
Kudorin longs for a husband to fawn over, but he also wants a husband who’s his equal, who will be a bit of a challenge for him.  Someone as independent and forceful as Anikira is.”

“Not someone content to remain in his shadow,” Orinakin interpreted.

“Someone who would never be threatened by that idea, because he knows that no shadow could contain him,” Remin said.  “Do not seek to wed the lion to a mouse.  Our lion would much prefer a tiger.”

Chapter 19, Kudorin said this to Orinakin when Orinakin just found out he's in love with Bade.  Kudorin doesn't know that Xio Voe is THE ONE but in reading this, I thought this will be true for Xio Voe in future chapters, beyond Chapter 133.
Quote
“Love is always a blessing.  Even when it hurts you.  Even when it frightens you.  Even when it threatens everything you want, or have, or know.  Love,” Kudorin repeated, “is always a blessing.”

Chapter 37:  Can't help but cackle in this one:
Quote
“Orinakin isn’t here, dearest,” Eleita said, flipping open a black lace fan.  “You wouldn’t happen to know where he is, would you?  He isn’t still asleep, is he?  Oh, is he with that dear boy?  Oh, I just adore Bade, those dark blue eyes.”

            “He’s very handsome,” Kudorin agreed.

“Yes, but nothing at all like your dear, oh,” and Eleita’s mouth snapped shut.  Fanning herself furiously, she blinked a few times, looking surprised and uncertain, then faked a casual smile.  “Well, we really should get back to those ambassadors, shouldn’t we?”

....Evil, EVIL MHT. Leading me... wait, what was is Selorin said?
Quote
“You shouldn’t play with their minds,” Selorin scolded Kudorin.  “They’re sweet, simple creatures,”

This is what I get for rereading threads...

And damn, I dug up this whole thread to pose another question and now I have no idea what it was.

OK I am wandering through the Chapters again/still and I came across this piece and realized this is when I fell in Love with Xio Voe.   Floating Hearts

Quote from: Chapter 104 when Bade & XV were discussing Lovesex the day after XV proposed
“Do you love your little brother?” he asked.  “Or do you love Prince Xio Dei, not for who he is, but because he’s a member of the imperial family?”

Xio Voe didn’t even pretend to pause to consider the question.  “The latter.”

            Bade stared at him.

            Xio Voe didn’t blink.

Bade had to clarify.  “You don’t love your own mother.  You just love Empress Xio Heijein.  Because she’s the Empress.”

“I owe her my allegiance.  I have sworn fealty to the Eternal Empire, and-”

“Stop, please, stop.”  Bade couldn’t listen to that.  It was hideous, it was inhuman.  Xio Voe was entirely disconnected from natural human feeling.  Bade suspected that he’d just stumbled onto a glimmer of the void Orinakin had been subjected to all of this time, and he had no idea how Orinakin had endured.  “Do you…”  What could he ask?  What could he say?  Xio Voe was broken.  “What happened to you?”

            Xio Voe was expressionless.  “When?”

My heart really  Heartbroken for him then.  I knew he was emotionally stunted BUT this is when it really hits home.

And yet on the day that he said that he loved Anosukinom, all of his emotions were laid bare for the pharaoh to see Smiley

I don't know how he managed to keep his emotions in check until then, simply because I wear my heart on my sleeve.  Then again, considering his way with Emperor Xio Sei, I guess he's like everyone else after all.

I think back to the way that  Orinakin describes XV's emotions when he finally is truly exposed to them all.  It is like by holding them back XV has created a enormous subterranean cavern for them to reside in and for them to surface they have to fill it completely before they spill out at a level  Orinakin can identify.  For XV's love for  Kudorin to burst forth like that  Floating Hearts has to be HUGE, large enough to be worthy of a Deity.

I am just reading that. Think she was shocked at the fact she almost said it or the fact the it was the HEIR TO THE JACAEAN EMPIRE?

His( Kudorin) parents totally already know.

I can't believe that its taking you THIS long to reread it for the first time.  I've read it like ten times already.  Well, some of the chapters.  Hmmm, maybe its time to start over again.

I've been a little busy with a Backstreet Boys tour, and with Harry Potter.

Besides, I wanted to leave a re-read for a special time when I'd have to wait for something and I would need to find something great to occuppy my time with.

Maybe we should have this conversation in another thread lol.

Oh, I'm gonna make more XV banners/icons soon.

I'm wondering something: do you think Xio Voe will ever relax be comfortable and affectionate with his siblings? With Kudorin's? I can't see hi'm being as touchy-feely as the Eight Siblings, but I hope he'll be welcoming of hugs and kisses. They all adore Bade and show it all the time. I don't think Xio Voe will get quite that familiar with them, but I want him to befriend them, at the very least.

And so does Kudorin from Chapter 169:

Quote
“I would like to see you get along with my brothers better.  Things are moving well in that direction, but there’s not the rapport, the intimacy, that I’d like.  I want you to eat with them and talk with them and laugh with them and hug them and let them spend time with the smart, funny, generous man that I love so much.  I want them to get to know you as I know you.  I want you to get to know them as well as I do.”

“You think that we will all love each other in familial harmony,” Xio Voe guessed.

            “I know that you will.

It may be a humbling experience for him and if so, it will be good for his character. However, Rini did say that the only people he'd ever seen pull it off with dignity were Kudorin and Anikira, so maybe it will be the same this time.

I wonder what a Jacacean ceremony is like.  Huh?
