Ok, so our overnight visit to see my baby sister turned into a four day trip. She was sick and my Mom didn't want to leave her. Everything was basically OK until the last day. Her on/off girlfriend called and made her cry, then my brother called and told us that he's filing for divorce. (Well, we saw that one coming - my soon to be ex-sisterinlaw has a drinking problem.) But the worst bit was coming back home to the news that my Uncle Jimmy (the one who used to have AIDS) now has liver cancer. So, yeah - totally depressed now.

Uncle Jimmy has already survived so much, it just doesn't seem fair for him to get cancer on top of everything else. On the other hand - he was supposed to have died by the summer of 1993. So we've had more than fifteen years of bonus time with him. My Mom has five brothers, but Uncle Jimmy is our favorite and always has been. If any of you believe in God, please pray for him.

 Oh, golly, does he live far away? Can you and/or your mom visit? Stay brave and support.. get your mom to him if you can, so they can have a really good share of old times. There really is a good effect on health from positive thinking.
