I know we do not have all the facts on the history of the dynasties.
But is there ever mention of how many have sets of twins like ours?

...and I presume the Pharoah is never a twin.

The dynasty before the Dynasty of the Seven Siblings was all twins--the Dynasty of the Twins.

Wiki: http://www.matthewhaldemantime.com/wiki/index.php?title=Dynasty_of_the_Twins

In regards to twins in the dynasties before then, we don't know.  What we do know, though, is that twins are not necessarily uncommon.

For example: Ch.3, Selorin and Bade:

“Twins are common in Nosupolis?”

"Yes,” Bade said, “they’re everywhere."

This is only an example of Nosupolis, of course, but it gives us an indication that having (any or many) twins is not necessarily confined to only the Anorian royal family.

Within the Dynasty of the Seven Siblings, the pharaoh is never a twin.  (That may or may not actually have been stated in ITL, but it's true regardless.  For proof, I cite my own brain.)

Right.  Like Hiraku and Miraku Limeseruki.  (One's a bela, one's not.  ITL 72)

LMAO Laura.  I wanted to say something, but I wasn't quite sure how to phrase it.  That sums it up perfectly.

You're welcome. It's what I do best! Plus, he left himself wide open for it.

I glare at you both, and I threaten to send you to the land of off-topic posts.

Seriously, though, I suspect (and we can ask Rini about this if we need to) that the pharaoh is divine before birth, that there's something divine either in the sperm/egg or that something divine happens during gestation.

Also, the pharaoh's so special and unique that, regardless of anything else, he deserves to be born alone, so that Anorians can celebrate the future Anosukinom and the beginning of the next generation without also having to worry about some gold-haired kid.

Hmmm  Were there any twins in the previous generation of Siblings?

Anorik's brothers and sisters?  No, no twins.

I'm shaking in my horrendously awesome socks.

Speaking of Twins, how did the dynasty of the twins work? How was that government set up?
