With all honesty Matthew is the best writer I've read. I used to read dozens of slash writers online but the more I read Matthew's slash the worse and worse their stories seemed. After about two months I decided there was no point in reading any other slash. After years of reading Matthew's writing, It's hard to read even famous published writers in any genre without finding major flaws with the plot, the characters, and always the dialogue. I have a very difficult time finding other writers to read, too. Nothing comes close to Matthew but I can't stand being without something to read, so I make do.

There aren't many writers whose work I can compare in pure awesomeness to Matthew's, across all genres. Especially in terms of vision, scope, and world-building--not to mention dialogue (esp. humor), relationships growing naturally and organically, characters staying in-character with believable motivations and actions and obstacles (I hate sudden out-of-character actions that are simply too convenient). He is, isn't he!?! I remember the first time I sent Matthew an e-mail and he responded to me....I squealed and freaked out! I just couldn't believe that he responded to my e-mail!
I still get giddy if I'm mentioned in a post or something. 
He's just so incredibly talented and awesome.
I'll always be a Matthew Haldeman-Time super fan

I know I've told you before Matthew, but I'm telling the world now. (Or at least the people in our little world) You're writing has done so much for me. I ended a bad relationship because of the encouragement your writing gave me. Its gotten me through a lot of situations, just thinking about how different characters would handle the situations I've found myself in. So thank you Matthew, for making my life better.
