So, if this is already somewhere else or on the wiki please direct me else where.
But I was wondering what the timelines were for the various suitors. Example: Bade was in Orina Anoris for what... a month? Then he married Orinakin. Xio Voe has been in Orina Anoris for how long now? I try counting days then I get distracted by er.. other things... that are Xio Voe and naked.

Didn't Bade tell Xio Voe it was about a month and a half after meeting Orinakin (or knowing him or something) when they made the whole hearing Bade's thoughts thing permanent? and since it was only a day or so after their engagement, and they had been on their vacation for about three days, and Tiko and Vade had been there for two weeks or so before that and bade and orinakin had gotten together like two days before that, I think that made Bade officially a suitor for about a month, and T'rin suitor for about a month and a week. I haven't figured out how long for the others...
Whew. I'm gonna have to find quote to back this up now, aren't I? Damn.

I had some questions about timelines too and of course posted a new topic then found this one. I need to do a better job of looking before posting. *pulls up Anorian Calendar, learns to insert a table* | TILIDOSAKO | Festival of the Sun | & ascend (1) 's special day (2) | | (28 days of sun) | Festival of Fire | XV & wed between (2) | | TILIDOSINO | Festival of Health | | (28 days of health) | Festival of Wellness | Bade & get married (1) | | TILIDOLARU | Festival of Love | | (28 days of endearment) | Festival of the Lovers | | TILIDOSEDO | Festival of Rain/Weather | | (28 days of water) | Festival of the River | | TILIDOTINU | Festival of Fertility | | (28 days of fertility ) | Festival of the Children | | TILIDOANOSUKINOM | Festival of Anosukinom | | (28 days of the pharaoh) | Festival of Remembering Past Pharaohs | Tano & day together, meets Sebado (2) | | TILIDOSEKI | Festival of Peace/Diplomacy | Xoe Voe arrives OA (1) Tano massages (2) | | (28 days of protection) | Festival of Safety/Travel | | TILIDOSODA | Festival of the Moons | & Hitari offer to Ilanosa (1) | | (28 days of moon) | Festival of the Stars | & XV engaged (2) | | TILIDOBUNA | Festival of Death | | (28 days of transition) | Festival of Remembrance | | TILIDOSEBON | Festival of the Harvest | | (28 days of reaping) | Festival of Animals | | TILIDODILIT | Festival of Structure | Playing with pigs, sheep & hens | | (28 days of balance) | Festival of Air/Flight | XV wins with a paper airplane | | TILIDOSALAN | Festival of Art: paintings, sculptures, etc | & XV watched plays, Anikira & bought shoes | | (28 days of art) | Festival of Art: readings, plays, poems | told children stories , XV read "On War" | | TILIDOLUROD | Festival of Justice | Xoe Voe Tours Jacacea (Ch 181) | | (28 days of understanding) | Festival of Wisdom | Bade arrives OA (1) Xoe Voe Tours Jacacea (2) | | TILIDOHATUK | Festival of Festival/Sport | & Hitari start up (1) & R have the honey vs dick conversation, T'rin's letter to arrives. (2) | | (28 days of celebrating) | Festival of the 7 Siblings | & Bade engaged (1) |
OK do I have this right? Has less than a year passed since Bade arrived in Orina Anoris? We have the equivalent of over ten books written that cover just the tip of the iceberg of events in this time. I am delighted.

Does this help at all? I will keep adding as we go along then so we have something to refer too. That way I can keep it straight in my mind.

If I knew what the last festival was, I'd be able to figure out just how much time has passed. Do you remember what the last one was?

Yep it was the Fesitival of the Moon. Ritek went to see Hitari, T'rin and Kuladin spent it in the barn, Bade and Orinakin watched the crossing from Seijaces and I think Kudorin celebrated by sitting on the Maiden. We could put other information in the timeline as well if we wanted.

I just want to make a small point here that Bade actually arrived in Orina Anoris AFTER the Wisdom Festival. Remember Selorin having his speeches ready for Orinakin to read because he missed them?

Yes, but it was before the Adanotu festival. Kinda like how she put "Orinaking and Bade get engaged" next to the Festival of the Seven Siblings even though they got engaged about a week after that. What wwe really need is an actual calendar.

I have edited the calendar. As of chapter 179 we have come a year, Oriakin and Bade met over a year ago and Orinakin was planning to bring Bade home to court Kudorin. I did learn how to insert a table today. I still haven't figured out how to add the mid festival weeks. Maybe next time. When any of you are doing re-reads and know of an event that happens in conjuction with a festival, let me know. I would like to put in the big art party but have no idea when it really took place (maybe in the month of TILIDOSEBON?) or Hitari's trial (possibly towards the end of TILIDOBUNA?) But then the "Festivals passed, one after another." at the beginning of the chapter actually was only the one festival. I will put them in if we can figure out when the best possible time is for them. Thanks in advance for your help.

We have regular calendars with some ITL stuff I made, is what she means lol.
We *could* make an actual calendar, assuming that each week in this world is seven days long. Or just have month-long calendars and randomly add stuff to it.
Hey, that's not a bad project! What do you guys think? Mountie, Liz? Wanna help me with that? It would take some serious rereading, but it would be a fun thing to do, and hey, any reason to reread ITL is a good reason.

Oh I would love to help with that Vani Courtney Lee has notes for each of the chapters that maybe she would share so we could use that as a guidline. Even if we got it down to weeks instead of days that would work out good. Is there a graphic site we can use to put things on where we all can add stuff to the weekly calendar? I like this idea.

I have no idea. I've done some of the months in Excel so far, but obviously, I'm the only one who can add stuff to it, because even if we were to post it, we wouldn't be able to update it.
I'm sure there is something, though. Anyone got any ideas?

I wonder if Dropio would support it? In a way we could cache it there and go in and download it to our comp, work on it and then repaste the modified one back up?

I would like to point out that it was mentioned recently that Selorin's festivals have just passed. When Bade and that set of suitors landed in Orina Anoris, those same festivals had just passed. That means its been a year.

I noticed that as well. I can't believe it's already been a full year since Bade arrived in Orina Anoris. Granted, about four or five months just passed in two chapters...
I can't wait!

I've added & Xio Voe`s wedding, Tano & Remin`s festival activities. We are now 2.5 Anorian years into the story since Bade arrived in Orkideska. And we are over 4 years into the release of ITL on a weekly basis. I figure that it is going to take at least another 6 - 8 Anorian years to marry off all the siblings, so that`s another 10-12 years of reading. Another interesting fact? If an Anorian day is 28 hrs long, a month 28 days and it's year 14 months then 1 Anorian year = 1.5 Earth years. The Siblings actually ascend when they are 25 Earth years old.

*clears throat, lets inner science nerd out* Ah but that is only if their bodies follow Earths bio-rhythms. Which they wouldn't, being natural to the world on which they were born. So they would actually age slower then we do, meaning a 20 year old from that world is still physically comparable to a 20 year old here.
