We all know that it's Matthew's dream to make a living from writing. The subscriptions and the book sales all help with that, and you guys have been very generous with your donations. (MHT fans rock ) There are even some of you who bought two copies of The Purple Book which is amazing. Now, there is an even easier way to contribute to the cause that doesn't cost a dime. Just click a banner on the site or here on the board. If everybody clicks one every time they come to the MHT website it will really add up! The adds don't earn any money for views, they only pay if you click them. Matthew is not allowed to click them himself, per Google, so it really will depend on all of us. From now on, while you're hanging out looking for new posts and refreshing on Fridays, just give a banner a quick click. Thanks. - Diamond <-- Chairperson of the Help Matthew Write Every Waking Hour of the Day Committee.

I apparently need land in Tennessee and a Colorado 5 Acre Ranch. Hmm... mine are not nearly so interesting as yours. So... selling your love on Ebay. - Jae

It was actually "Love Selling on Ebay," which is more of an unfortunate grammatical error than anything else, but I reserve the right to take it as I will. Also: A Thirst for Romance Yummy, yummy, yummy! Sweet black heroes. Novels to warm you all over.

That would be a bit of a commute for Jae and I to get to school. Then again... The rooster is crowing in the yard and I'm still awake, working on a report. This makes me sad. Maybe I don't want to commute, after all. I am, at the very least, making an attempt to click before I leave the board each time.

Yay!!!! Clicking is fun!
I just hope nobody checks my clicking average from work (apparently my boss can do that... check how many times I've clicked my mouse on a non-work-related website. In that case, I'm in deep trouble, people.
VaniHaha, you click that much? Can't you wait until you come home? Does it count if I open the link in another window? Otherwise I have to click and then go back here, and that's tiresome..

I think it counts. If it doesn't, I'll have to click more ads.
And it's not that I click that much on the ads, lol, it's every time I use my mouse on a website that's not related to work. Fun fun fun! lol
Vani
*Edited 5 minutes later*
See, I just clicked on an ITL ad and got drawn to Amazon lol. I've been behind! Must get 'A Thief and a Killer' and 'Hot Weather'!

I saw the ad say "I got rid of my wrinkles!" and I just had to click it. Personally, I think she lost them under the bed. That's where everything is. Trust me. So apparently Becky saw Dr. Oz on Oprah and paid attention or something and now she has a new face! I think. Wait, it's about Jenny... Becky told Jenny to get a new face! Or something like that. I don't know, berries were involved in some way. Anyway, my point is, Miss Jenny says she's from the same city that I'm from, which we all know is impossible because no one gets in and no one gets out. So, if you see an ad about a wrinkle-free old lady, see if the website says she's from your city. I'm just sure they are doing it on purpose. I'm not paranoid, what? Why are you looking at me like that? - Diamond

That's what I'm saying! It was in bold like, "Hello, I live where you live!! You can trust me!" It creeped me out. But now I'm intrigued with this some cities not showing up thing. Could it be that there is a way to fool them? -Diamond

But once you do publish it, it could be the next big thing - all girl power and superheros!!
rotfl. Silly. I doubt it will be. But I'm getting 10,000 ideas for new stories, and that's never good, cause I'll never finish this if I keep it up.

Thank you to everyone who’s clicked on an ad, whether it’s been once, once a day, or several times every day.
It’s a real help. Thank you for taking the time to do it. I think that I’ll be able to keep them just on the main pages and not on the actual fiction pages, which is a big relief. I appreciate your support.
For those of you who haven’t seen them, the ads are at the bottom of the main pages of the site, and at the bottom of each page of the message board. I was worried about them garishly ruining the look of the site, so hearing from people unable to find them has actually been a relief.
Clicking on an ad is free to you, which is possibly the best part about it. It takes literally one second to do, which makes it a terrific new habit to pick up. (Although clicking on an ad for The Purple Book won’t help. That’s just what Google throws up when it can’t think of anything else to say.) I sincerely, genuinely, honestly, very much thank you for being kind enough to click. It’s a simple yet generous gesture, and it makes a positive difference in my life. Thank you.
-Matthew

I'm one of those who bought 2 copies of The Purple Book and omg the shipping cost more than the books but it is soooo worth it! I got one copy to read over and over again, and the other to....put in a shrine somewhere I'm trying to catch up but are the ads you're talking about the "Ads by Google" at the bottom? If it is, I'm clicking. Ana

I think they've got little cameras hidden in all the smileys. They need to quit with the wrinkle stuff. They're giving me a complex.

Right now, I'm getting 'Page Not Found'. My friend's computer doesn't like ads, especially since I kept clicking on them from here. I'll click more when I get back to Zurich.

Matthew sent an email. They were taken off by Google. Too many clicks with too few sales I guess, or something. See email.

I believe most ads companies have a clause against soliciting clicks, so we should and be all stealthy.

The new ads make money so feel free to click. Like Falconer said, they have rules against excessive clicking, but if something looks interesting (or crazy), why not click it and find out what the heck is going on over there. Edited to add: And where the heck did all those pictures come from? This was supposed to be text ads, that's how they started. Maybe they thought their point wasn't getting across... - Diamond.

My mom got me the job. A friend of her's was the head of the IT department (or rather, he WAS the IT department). Data entry and filing are pretty much the same anywhere, no matter what you happen to be filing. I couldn't eat cream cheese for a few months after, though. Our boss was super paranoid about the rest of the offices in the building figuring out what we did. I was always a little tempted to tell him, "look, the walls are thin, so either they know what we do, or they think that we have the coolest break room ever."

I'm honored to receive the nomination, although I'm torn as to what cheesy Oscar reference I should make if I win. Should I thank the little people, or just conclude that you like me, you really really like me?
