How to edit
(If you have problems, questions, or concerns, discuss them on the message board. That way, if I'm busy, someone else may be able to answer your questions more quickly.)
Don't hesitate to start a page just because you can't write seventeen long paragraphs on the subject. Just get it started, and let someone else come behind you to flesh things out, or hope that I'll write more on the subject in ITL to give you more content. If you don't know a whole lot about a certain bela, start his page anyway; it's my fault for not writing more about him.
When something is unknown (what's Colg's major religion?) just type in "reader unknown." If you're editing the page on the Jacacean Empire but you forget its major geographical features, type in "please add information."
Please make sure that you look around before starting a new page. Search, and then search again, to be 100% certain that the page doesn't already exist. I don't want you to waste your time working to build a new page if one's already available.
All Wiki This Land pages should link to other Wiki This Land pages. If you want to start a brand-new page about belas, go to the Orina Anoris page. If there's a section on belas already there, add a link to your new page and then start your new page. If no section on belas exists, start a section on belas and link it to your new page. Please avoid starting a new page without linking to it from a related pre-existing page.
When you edit a page, be sure which page you're on. The page for Anosukinom Mutotanosa Situkabulanin Elanilanulanori Banotuda Kudorin A Rituliti (the Kudorin we all know and love) is not the same as the page for Anosukinom Mutotanosa Situkabulanin Elanilanulanori Banotuda Kudorin (the office and deity).
To make things easier on everyone, when you make a new page, skip people's formal titles. Make a page for "Xio Sei," not "Emperor Xio Sei." Make a page for "Bade," not "Prince Bade."
New categories
Please do not create new categories. Because so many other pages link to them, they are semi-permanent and very hard to delete. MediaWiki recommends extreme caution before creating new categories. For that reason, Diamond and I are being careful about which categories we create. If you think of one that should be added, just suggest it here!
